Is Alexis Nereah The Face Of Kenyan Fashion?

Alexis Nereah

Wild Child Alexis Nereah. The description that suits her the best is in her name. Popular on Instagram. Her captions do her as much justice as her photos. Arguably the most underrated beauty in the country. Her charm is not debatable. It is her sense of fashion that gets tongues wagging. Half grunge, half exotic. And all this is arty by every perspective. Alexis Nereah is a creative thinker who manages to deliver transparent fashion, literally at times, without even trying.

Kenya, unlike many countries, has refused to be pinned down to some sort of unique identity whether in fashion, or music, or any other aspect of life. Influx of foreign products from abroad hasn't helped the situation either. This makes it difficult for anyone to stand out in Kenya. But out of the haystack this lady has found the pin, albeit not fully.

The wild child often pulls a carefree look, and then makes a u turn to give simplicity its fair share of sophistication. The hands of fashion are yet to touch another uniqueness of this kind. She is taking a path not charted before and we all should follow her.

We have witnessed the world of fashion taking giant leaps in the dark in the recent past and Alexis Nereah is the embodiment of this shift. The Kenyan version. And she is being accepted. Step aside mainstream media and the signature styles you push.
