From the conference rooms of Fortune 500 companies, to the smelly bush markets in the villages, women are not getting the same treatment as male counterparts receive. It is even said men are paid higher than women for the same amount of jobs done. A conversation on Twitter revealed a shocking culture existing among us.

Meet Nairobi's Prettiest Gangster Killed By Police

Her looks could have killed you, literally. But now she is down.Clare Mwaniki and three other thugs were confronted by the police as they carried out heists in areas around Kangundo Road. Two of the thugs that fired back at the police were killed as the two others fled on foot.
Clare is suspected to be the husband of another wanted gangster in the Eastlands area of Nairobi. Many criminal gangs in Nairobi are known to include women in their detail as police are less likely to kill women when battles ensue. The women also transport guns from a point to the other because chances of them being checked are minimum.

But it was not a lucky day for Clare as she lost her life in an alleged shootout with the police who had been trailing the four for some time now. A Beretta was found on her. Police had used seven rounds of bullets by the time the guns were silenced. A police officer going by the name Hessy had warned Clare Mwaniki whom she referred to as Clea Adi Vybz on a Facebook post about her impending end if she did not change her ways. She chose not to change and the police delivered the promise. Her gun had its serial number obliterated making it hard to track it.

The police have increased their crackdown on city gangs that have been reigning terror on city residents even going overboard to rob, maim and kill with impunity in broad daylight.

Johnston Muthama Quits Wiper Party

 
In a move anticipated by many political pundits, senator of Machakos County has quit Wiper Party and the Machakos senatorial race. He now claims Kalonzo Musyoka betrayed him and others like David Musila with whom they founded the Wiper Party together with the late Mutula Kilonzo. The party was initially Orange Democratic Party - Kenya.

Johnston Muthama accused Kalonzo Musyoka, a NASA principal, of favoring newcomers in Wiper primaries in Ukambani and his friends. An instance is where the former vice president was perceived to be supporting the incumbent in the Kitui gubernatorial race governor Malombe who beat his rival David Musila who has since gone independent. David Musila resigned as the Wiper chairman forfeiting his life membership in the party.
Senator Muthama has vowed to campaign for Raila Odinga, the NASA flag-bearer in the forthcoming August elections. It is said in the political corridors that senator Muthama played a vital role in convincing Kalonzo to support Raila in the last general elections. Their fallout with Kalonzo first came to the limelight when Kalonzo accused him in a public rally of fronting Raila to be the candidate of NASA when he was supposed to rally behind his party leader.
