Sidebar Has Surpassed Jeff Koinange Live As Kenya’s Most Reliable Political Show

Jeff Koinange’s approach of social media sensationalism might have just cost him the position of Kenya’s most respected political journalist. His show Jeff Koinange Live which was moved from KTN to Citizen due to a nasty spat between Esther Passaris and Miguna Miguna has its ratings dwindling like never before.

Jeff Koinange Live has formed the habit of forcing the show down people’s throats so that you have to contribute to it whether you are watching or not. Through its social media ‘correspondent’ Xtian Dela, they use all means to make it trend on Twitter every other Wednesday. And it’s no longer about issues, it’s about theatrics, humor and hashtags.

As things stand, the media does not give space for gaps and NTV has risen up to the occasion to counter the Jeff Koinange effect with a show of its own. Sidebar.

Why Is Risper Faith So Stupid?

A woman so stupid her last name describes what you need to have to listen to her. Watching her talk and laugh makes you wonder why life is so unfair that she, and not a zebra from the Mara, is given airtime on Kenya’s most watched show.

Risper Faith first came into the limelight when she twerked in Blaqy’s song called money maker. The money maker Blaqy was talking about was Risper Faith’s behind. She is truly endowed and this caught the public’s eye albeit the wrong way. She was so oiled up it felt wrong to watch the video.

That video quickly catapulted her into the socialite stardom. At that time the aspect of socialites was just picking up in the country and thus it was easy for her to establish herself.

The lady surprisingly managed to mess up this opportunity and was soon forgotten. She was no longer famous. 

To redeem her dwindling fame, she leaked her own nudes and claimed she was being blackmailed. She said someone wanted her to pay for their disposal and she refused. It worked and got tongues wagging for a while. She must have cherished the comments that followed. Most of the comments wondered how she managed to be so ugly.

The nudes were soon overshadowed by other socialites also releasing theirs and she had to look for something else. Risper Faith presented us with the most bizarre surprise yet.

Risper Faith announced to the world that she had seen the light and was now saved. That played well as Ghafla gave her all the airtime they could get. That along with another ‘scandal’ with Blaqy became the angle of Ghafla office interviews.

Now the lady has exhausted all techniques used by socialites to remain relevant and has found a new home in Nairobi Diaries. Here it is even more disturbing.

Risper Faith During The Hard Times

Her script has been intertwined with that of a Brian, who is apparently from Atlanta and is supposed to marry her soon. He takes her to Dubai, buys her clothes, accompanies her to her meetings with the A Team, he is building her a house, complements her and fights her battles once in a while. In return, Brian gets to be called babe, told he is missed, told about who is staring at her at the gas station and made to swear that he won’t ask Mishy Dorah for nudes.

Sometimes she gives too much information it makes you cringe. She once said with a straight face that Brian loves to bury his face in between there while she farts. According to her, that shows how much Brian loves her.

With Risper Faith you never know what to expect next, viewers of Nairobi Diaries can only wait to see what next Risper Faith treats them to.

Why King Kaka Called Out Sauti Sol

King Kaka feels so confident he is the king of Kenyan music he decided to adopt that word as his name. He might be the king, by name and talent, but he is not the one smiling all the way to the bank. Sauti Sol is. And what is a king without a Treasury?

So when King Kaka decided to call out the group during a promo interview for his new song with Fena, many were not taken by surprise.

King Kaka attacked the group saying they had not helped the industry grow despite being in a position to. He was angry because the group had gotten opportunities to be in international platforms like BET and MTV but still did nothing to promote Kenyan music.

Some days later he again went on a rant telling his fans that Sauti Sol had pulled down his poster. He said he was okay with that and ended the rant by saying Sauti Sol is petty.

But are these allegations true or is King Kaka after something else altogether?

The truth is Sauti Sol has worked hard to be where they are now with little or no help. They had to release so many songs for them to get airplay. Sauti Sol had genuinely good music back then but no one took notice. And even after people noticed them they still couldn’t win any awards.

After climbing to the top they have had many initiatives that raise awareness and promote raw talent. They even attend events organized by government on youth that many of those elite artists will never attended even with guns on their heads.

The collaboration with Red Fourth Choir, Upperhill and Amos and Josh are some of their most visible show of support to upcoming artists.

That King Kaka accuses them of such allegations is pure hypocrisy.

The Kenyan media thrives in beefs. And King Kaka knows this fact. One might not be blamed for thinking that he is calling out Sauti Sol for relevance.

Sauti Sol is a big name and anyone who calls them out and manages to get them to pay attention will benefit from the attention.

King Kaka, in the good old proverbial terms, sold his soul to the devil. The devil in this case is the corporates, the mainstream media and all that support them. He has no time to produce good music anymore. And his fans are slowly turning away. They are putting their ears where the good music is coming from.

King Kaka needs to accept that reality and start releasing good music and leave Sauti Sol the hell alone.
