Alex Jones Accused Of Sexual Harassment

Infowars owner and king of conspiracy theories Alex Jones has become the latest high profile individual to be accused of sexual harassment by his former employees.
Two former staffers have filed complaints with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against Alex Jones for racial and anti-Semitic slurs and sexual harassment after he groped a female employee.
One of the two former employees was allegedly ridiculed for 13 years before being finally fired last year in May.
Rob Jacobson was called "The Jewish Individual", "The Resident Jew" and staff often shouted "Yacobson" across the room. All these ridicules were laughed at by Infowars owner.
Another female employee Ashley Beckford claims harassment because of her skin color started immediately she joined the company.
She was a production assistant and claims she was subjected to all manners of discrimination and was at one time referred to as a "coon" by a senior person in the management.
Ashley Beckford was also denied promotions and was subjected to working conditions not at par with other non-black employees. She further claims she was groped by Alex Jones after the man initiated a side hug and pretending to offer his sympathies over an incident Ashley Beckford had been involved in.
Alex Jones when reached for comments laughed off the allegations and said he does not comment on former employees. He further said no one talks about Alex Jones like that and went ahead to call the allegations "Total BS."

Bill Gates went ahead to give an elaborate answer on the importance of government having the ability to find money laundering, tax evasion and terrorist funding.
He also says that the cryptocurrencies have caused deaths indirectly because people use them to buy Fentanyl and other drugs from the internet. When told that cash can also be used to buy Fentanyl, he says that the fact that you have to be physically present to make money transactions make it difficult for things like kidnapping payments.

Many people disagreed with the reason he gave saying that Microsoft products like Internet Explorer have also been used to distribute things hate messages.
The anonymity aspect of cryptocurrencies is something Bill Gates feels isn't good. In general, he feels like the speculative wave around ICOs and cryptocurrencies is super risky for those who go long.

Does Bill Gates Use Tabs Or Spaces? He Answered

The debate on whether on whether programmers should use tabs or spaces when writing their code is, unexpectedly, very fierce and has been ongoing for the longest time now.
The debate can be dated back to as far as the year 2000 when Jamie Zawinski on a blog post titled Tabs Versus Spaces: An Eternal Holy War tried to tackle the issue.
The war was further popularised by a scene in HBO's tech-drama series Silicon Valley when Richard Hendricks discovered that one of his employees' code was written using spaces. He ends up breaking up with a girlfriend over the fact that she uses Spaces instead of Tabs when programming.
When Bill Gates, perhaps the world's most successful tech stories was being asked questions on his Reddit AMA session, this question popped up.

From Bill Gates reply, he is definitely a Taber. He said he uses Tabs when coding because he wants the columns to line up. The man even uses Tabs in word documents sometimes!

YouTube Re-enables Ads On Logan Paul Videos

YouTube has re-enabled ads on YouTube star Logan Paul's videos after a temporary ban earlier. This means that he can now monetize his videos again.
Logan Paul made a series of mistakes that were largely seen as controversial forcing YouTube to ban ads on his videos and remove him from their YouTube Preferred program.
He made a video of him in a suicide forest in Japan and made fun of a man who had committed suicide in the forest. The man's body was shown in the YouTube video. The video sparked online protests considering the fact that suicide is a real issue affecting people all across the world.
He apoloogized.
Logan Paul was soon back it tasering a dead rat that he had found in his house. He said no one shows up in his house like that without getting tasered. He also joked to his fans about Tide Pod challange. This is a challange where social media users record themselves eating detergents packets.
YouTube banned him temporaily after he attempted to monetize the tasering video, which is against community guidelines.
Logan Paul and his team have assured YouTube that they have read and undrstood the community guidelines and understood him. He has, however, not been returned to the YouTube Preffered program.
Logan commands a fan base of 16 million subscribers on YouTube.

I Killed My Boyfriend After Discovering His HIV Status, Confessions Of Miss Langata Prison

A Nairobi court was yesterday treated to a chilling narration of the events that led to Ruth Kamande stabbing his boyfriend 22 times killing him in the process. The confessions of Kenya's prettiest inmate have brought to light once again what exactly Kenyans are willing to go to protest love betrayal.
24 year old Ruth Kamande who won the Miss Langata Prison 2016 beauty paegent told Justice Lessit that she stabbed his boyfriend Mohammed in self defense and that things could have happened the other way round hadn't she defended herself.

She says things escalated after she discovered a hospital card that suggested beyond reasonable doubt that Mohammed was undergoing HIV treatment.
When the Buruburu woman confronted her boyfriend about it, he threatened her saying they would both rather die than have his HIV status known to the public.
The argument further escalated when Ruth discovered letters from two other ladies. The slain man tore the letter into pieces saying they did not mean anything to him. He had allegedly separated from the two ladies before any engagements with Ruth.

Ruth says she stabbed her boyfriend with the kitchen knife after it fell on her when they were struggling on the ground. She further says she had pressed the boyfriend's eyes with her thumbs before overpowering him and stabbing him. She says she sustained multiple injuries in the chest, hands and head as Mohammed was trying to kill her.
The lady denies inflicting knife injuries on herself in a cover up bid saying she was stabbed by the boyfriend. She told the court she cannot remember the number of times she had stabbed her boyfriend.

An eyewitness, who was the landlord of the two at that time, had earlier told the court that he had screams from the house on that fateful day and on going to check, the door was locked. A man was screaming for held from the house.
On peeping through the window, he saw Ruth Kamande standing next to the bedroom door with a kitchen knife on her hand. He tried to tell Mohammed to defend himself like a man but he couldnt do so.

The police, on that day, recovered the torn love letters and the murder weapon from the crime scene. This is an ongoing case.

TrueCaller Opens Africa Office In Nairobi, Seeks To Expand

Swedish software company True Software Scandinavia AB has set up its first office in Nairobi which will also act as its continental headquarters.
TrueCaller which uses caller ID service to achieve call blocking functionality, identification of unknown numbers and integration with social media platforms is very popular in Kenya with its user base reaching six million in the recent past.
Zakaria Hersi, True Software Scandinavia AB's director of partnerships in Africa, said on Wednesday that Kenya provides one of its highest global usage in the world thus a top market for them.

TrueCaller blocks close to 5 million spam calls and 14 million spam messages in Kenya monthly. These calls range from scams, nuisance and financial  services. More than 90 per cent of these calls are spam.
The spike in scammers that use phone calls to lure their victims to send them money among other exploitations may be the key driver behind the high number of Kenyans using the TrueCaller app.

Concerns As Kenya's Public Debt Crosses The Record Sh4.5 Trillion Mark

Kenya's public debt for the first time in history has crossed the SH4.5 Trillion mark raising concerns on how the government plans to repay the accumulating debt which continues to grow each financial year.
Uhuru Kenyatta's government has invested heavily on infrastructure with railways, highways , airports and electricity supply being focused on. All these depend partially or fully on loans procured by the Jubilee government.
In its latest public debt report, Treasury said that the gross public debt increased by Sh746.7 billion from Sh3.82 trillion by the end of December 2016 to Sh4.57 trillion by the end of December 2017.
51.9 per cent of these borrowings are foreign and 48.9 percent are domestic. These figures are not inclusive of recent borrowings such as the Sh210 billion Eurobond procured last week.
The government through Treasury has attributed this rise in public debt to external debts arising from exchange rates fluctuations and disbursements from external loans during the period.
The rate at which the public debt has been increasing is way higher than revenue growth thus widening the gap and frustrating government's ability to repay the loans.
Revenue collection has also fallen short of the target by close to Sh70 billion by the end of December 2017.
Many experts have advised the government to go slow on the loans but the government has largely remained adamant saying the country can bear the debt load.
Uhuru Kenyatta has reiterated that the country has never come close to the point of defaulting on its loans thus no cause for alarm. He has been on record saying that for the country to move forward there is need to develop infrastructure that will spearhead developments in other key areas of the economy.
