Anerlisa Muigai Dumps Boyfriend. Again
Anerlisa Muigai, daughter of Keroche Breweries owner Tabitha Karanja, has dumped her latest boyfriend. The man joins a contingent of men who have dated Anerlisa Muigai and ended up being dumped in the face of the public.
While neither Anerlisa Muigai nor his boyfriend has said that their relationship is over, Anerlisa deleted all of his former boyfriend's photos from her Instagram page including the photos where she had the man's face concealed.
This is the fashion Anerlisa Muigai has always used to dump her boyfriends. First of all she posts a suggestive quote, followed by deleting your photos, then she unfollows you, stays away from the topic for sometimes, opens up about it in a series of long posts, and then introduces her new boyfriend.
She was recently involved in a much publicized debt case where it is alleged she borrowed money from a Shylock on behalf of another man who refused to settle the debt leading to an ongoing court battle.
The Kenyan media has strangely christened Anerlisa Muigai as "Keroche Breweries Heiress."
The Epic Transformation Of This Is Ess
The lady who once sat on the throne of Kenya's ultimate sex symbol and arguably the most stalked in the country has gone through a magnificent transition from being a mere pretty face to making actual impact in the online community she has built over the years.
Sharon Mundia first came to the limelight through her fashion blog This Is Ess. Fashion blogging was still a new phenomenon in the country and she quickly gained followers.
Most of her readers were men who were not visiting the site to get fashion tips but to look at her beautiful pictures. Many people agree that she is the most beautiful celebrity the showbiz seen has seen.

This Is Ess |
From there onward it has been a climb for her, going ahead to conquer Instagram and YouTube and social media influencing.
Her engagement story broke the internet and traffic to her site where the story was shared blew off the roof. The site even crashed. Many people were disappointed that she was getting married but she did and had a baby shortly after.

The Engagement Of Sharon Mundia |
The marriage ended. She was dragged over the mud with allegations of cheating on her husband with two other women. Sharon denied the rumors that her husband walked in on her while she was having sex with two other women in her matrimonial bed.
Her husband was said to have been broken and stories of him going into alcoholism ran in various blogs.
The events after that messy divorce have seen us witness a different This Is Ess. She quit social media for a whole year. And even went into therapy.
She has since changed her approach to her posts on social media and YouTube. She talks about motherhood, emotional health, finance, among other things. She says she now surrounds herself with people who love and appreciate her.
I want to share with you content that will uplift you, entertain you and inform you. And I hope that whenever you come to this space, that it will leave you feeling better about yourself or excited about facing life.We are seeing less of focus on sex, a topic that seems to be the most produced by content creators and the most consumed by the Kenyan audience.
She has recently started a project, #Better4Kenya together with Janet Mbugua and Adelle Onyango, that focuses on pushing for gender equality. This is something that is positively impacting considering the fact that gender inequality is one of the biggest ills in Kenya.
Employers in Eldoret Caught Off-guard
Employers in Eldoret have found themselves out of favor with The security personnel union boss in the region when he aired their dirty deeds to the public.
Eldoret employers are misusing their security guards in ways the union boss described as unethical and undeserving of humanity. The security guards are not provided proper uniform for their night duties nor adequate identification regarding their posting at said posts at night.
He goes further to reveal, due to these circumstances most night guards are picked by police and held without their bosses bailing them. The employers move on to hire another security guard leaving them to the same fate.
The union boss cautioned these employers and vowed to take action against each of them saying many night guards are locked away on such accounts.
Busia Students Brainwashed
The much needed rain has again proved too much for the nation. As the country soaks in the aftermath of an entire week of downpour ranging from impassable roads, overflow mixed with sewer refuse to mudslides and parting roads the devastation is clear and our unpreparedness even sharper in contrast.
In Busia county, students from Teso South were forced to flee for their safety when flood waters came pooling in their classes. Teachers and students each minding their own survival abandoned the classes for a more decent shelter within the compound. Classes remained flooded as students huddled together with teachers in the available classes making learning impossible.
Busia county governor has admitted to avoiding his office based on fears of county purse strings being attached to his neck by contractors and unmet dues.
This poor state of amenities runs rampant in many counties and one can only imagine the cost to crucial structures as education.
Vandals Throw Tenants Out Of Homes
Recently in Narok County tenants were surprised by unlikely visitors in broad daylight. Tenants were removed from their houses and their belongings hurled after them by rogues believed to be under the thumb of an influential person.
Lenana Estate sits on a plot of land that was contested over in law courts for four years with the current landlord eventually winning the case. She insists on the fact and has the legal documents recording the event.
This did not stop a new player from acquiring a title deed and enlisting rogues to dispose off squatters in his property. One lady in particular returned from building her country to find her door abnormally far from its hinges and couldn't exactly locate her belongings.
The matter has been taken up with the authorities. Again.
They Value Trees More Than Our Lives
Charred remains are a fortune in Samburu County. Most of the livelihood revolves around making and selling of charcoal a commodity sought after in great quantities.
However, the nation's ambition and obsession with protecting trees and forest cover has come down hard on the people of Samburu. A people that draw food, shelter and monies from the trading in charcoal. Our nation that only wants to save something for future destruction should seek better means of maintaining and improving lives and forests.
Samburu charcoal burners are in distress since these events certainly snatch the food right from their mouths, they're appealing to the government of trees and forests to provide alternative sources of livelihood seeing to how it's the same government that has neglected them for years upon years.
They confidently express their desire to conserve forests but will not do it at the expense of their lives and that of their school going kids.
C-section Leaves Her Intestines Hanging
Childbirth, the best moments of motherhood all spring from this one event. More the joy for a new mother if there's twins.
However, this is not what was delivered Susan by the free maternal care so graciously offered by the government of the day.
Susan had her intestines sutured by our very qualified surgeons at the C-section unit after delivering her twin babies. This unfortunate event has left a lot of strings not attached. Her unbearable pain as she responded to questions is visible and her hanging intestines are not a good conversation starter either. They were left hanging for easy management and observation.

Her intestines have been left in her care given the unreliable nursing staff at KNH who even threatened her husband against transferring her citing they won't be responsible for any more costs despite the very obvious conclusion, they're doing nothing.
The mother of two has to breastfeed her babies on a different floor everyday and has to doodle her intestines out of the way wherever she turns.

Hilarious Miguna Miguna Challenge!
Miguna Miguna has had his fair share of violence from security enforcers in airports around the world. Kenyans found a way to make fun of Miguna Miguna's predicaments as he tries to force his way back into the country.

Raila Odinga Appears In Court For Matiang'i Jail Sentencing Proceedings
Opposition leader Raila Odinga appeared in court on Thursday morning for the sentencing of Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and Immigration Principal Secretary Gordon Kihalangwa.
Raila Odinga left Milimani Courts shortly before the proceedings began without talking to journalists. He was accompanied by City businessman Jimmy Wanjigi and law professor Makau Mutua.

Miguna Miguna's lawyers are seeking for the jailing of the three government officials for contempt of court orders.
Justice George Odunga had earlier yesterday ordered that Miguna Miguna be presented in court but that did not happened. He termed Matiang'i as a lord of impunity who had severally decided to defy court orders.
He therefore convicted the three and is expected to deliver their prison sentences today. He has said that the three will not be granted hearing in future if they do not appear in court.
Human rights activities appeared in court for the proceedings wearing yellow ribbons in solidarity with Miguna Miguna and respect of human rights.
Relentless Miguna Miguna Refuses To Board London Plane
The drama involving the return and deportation of Miguna Miguna continued and was extended to Dubai where he had been deported to.
Those who had accompanied him to Dubai tried to bundle him into another plane which was headed to London but he refused and stood his ground saying that Nairobi is the only place he will willingly go to.
Gatundu South member of parliament shared a video where Miguna Miguna is engaged in a heated argument over him boarding the plane. He says he cannot be forced to board a plane if he is sick and he has made it clear that he is sick.
This is an international airline and airport. I know the rules. I am following the rules. I am sick. I am allowed to say if I am sick. You cannot force me to walk if I cannot walk.Miguna Miguna later says he requires urgent medical attention, that he has pains all over his ribs and chest. The Canadian government has since taken over his medication and he was admitted in a Dubai hospital.
Miguna Miguna Seriously Ill In Dubai After Being Drugged By Kenyan Police
National Resistance Movement leader Joshua Miguna Miguna is seriously ill and has been admitted in Sheikh Rashid hospital in Dubai after refusing to board a flight to United Kingdom where the Kenyan government was forcing him to fly to.
In an earlier update, Miguna Miguna said the Kenyan police officers who were handling him at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport drugged him before bundling him into a Dubai bound flight unconscious.

Mike Sonko Ordered By State To Remove National Flag From His Vehicles
The state through Karanja Kibicho has ordered Nairobi City County governor Mike Sonko to stop flying the national flag in his official cars.
The flamboyant governor revealed the development in a Facebook post where he also announced that he was almost giving up on the job of governor of Nairobi City County.
Mike Sonko said he had been advised by Interior Principle Secretary Karanja Kibicho and Ndegwa to stop flying the flag and he will comply as advised.
The National Flags, Emblems and Names Act states that a person shall only fly the national flag if permitted in a written letter by the interior ministry.
Individuals allowed to fly the national flag in their official vehicles are the president and his deputy, cabinet secretaries, speakers of the National Assembly and the Senate, the Chief Justice and Kenyan diplomats in foreign countries.
Governors may fly the flags of their respective counties. There was an intense debate after the 2013 elections on whether the governors should fly the national flag but the national government finally had its way.
Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior introduced a bill in parliament that if passed and signed will allow any Kenyan citizen to fly the national flag in their vehicles, bikes and any other transport means as they deem fit.
Mike Sonko Gives Up On Nairobi, Hints At Resigning
Mike Sonko has come out, in a shocking social media post, to admit that the workload at city hall has taken a toll on him and that he will soon be seeking advice from Nairobi residents on the next thing to do.
Mike Sonko told his Facebook fans that it was important that they know the burden at city hall is no joke and he was almost giving up.
Lakini pia mujue hii kazi imekua ngumu na iko karibu kunishinda na sio mambo ya flag hizo nimekubali kutoa as advised by Karanja Kibicho and Ndegwa but nitawambia very soon kwa nini ndio muniadvice. This loosely translates to "this job is so tough that I am almost giving up on it. It is not the issue of the flag, I have accepted to remove the flags from my vehicles as advised by Karanja Kibicho and Ndegwa. I will let you know what the problem is so that you can advise me."
Mike Sonko promised not to resign from his job like Polycarp Igathe who did so without consulting anybody.
The Life And Death Of Social Networks
The social media space has grown significantly over the years and we have seen tremendous changes in the ways that human beings interact online.
Many millionaires have been made in the process with a new career called social media influencing being born. The dynamics of marketing have also changed with the traditional means of advertising being dropped for digital advertising.
There are various social media platforms that we have seen come and go and their founders have gone ahead to become billionaires by either selling off their ventures or just growing bigger on their own.
![]() |
The social media space is constantly engaging in self cannibalism as many of these social media sites fall into oblivion. These falls are attributed to bad boardroom decisions or irrelevance that comes with the millenials moving onto the next big thing.
One Reddit user has managed to capture the life and death of social networks in a brilliant graphical data display.
![]() |
Graph Showing The Life And Death Of Social Networks |
The graph shows that Whatsapp and Reddit have had their usage spike the highest. This could be attributed to the fact that Whatsapp does not sell ads and the general ease of use and beauty of Reddit.
SnapChat had tremendous grown but its popularity tanked recently due to the update that they effected early this year. This led to a mass exit of users with Kyle Jenner announcing on Twitter that she no longer uses the app. Rihanna also recently spoke against the app after they made fun of gender based violence.

The usage of mySpace and Slashdot are at their lowest. Facebook's usage is generally low because of the privacy issues they have had involving Cambridge Analytica and their role in influencing elections around the world.

Full Statement By Nation Media Group Columnists On Mass Exodus
WE REFUSE
TO BE SILENCED
For many
years, we have been privileged to contribute regularly to various publications
of the Nation Media Group (NMG) as columnists. But sadly, and with regret, we now
announce the immediate withdrawal of our columns from these publications.
We are
deeply grateful to readers here in Kenya, throughout the region and around the
world, who have granted us audience and engaged with our contributions to
public debate on politics, policy, justice and human rights.
We are
aware that the singular privilege to contribute comes with the tacit compact to
promote and protect intellectual freedom, freedom of expression and freedom of
information, which anchor freedom of the media.
Freedom of
the media is a public good, and private individuals and corporations profit
from it on the understanding that their gain securestheir independence. Media
freedom acquires significance of democracy where public institutions are weak
and under threat, the Executive has little check, as has been observed in Kenya
recently.
Two years
ago, a number of us wrote to the NMG’s board of directors in an act of good
faith to express our concerns about what we saw as a systematic process to
constrain independent voices within the company, contrary to its stated
editorial policy to promote diversity and freedom of the media. We feared the
Nation Media Group’s legitimacy as a credible source of truth was being
undermined by the management’s failure, or refusal to safeguard the operational
independence of professionals in its employ.
Notably, we
cited the dismissal of Denis Galava as Managing Editor for Special Projects and
Investigations over the publication of an editorial critical of the presidency
– especially since he had been threatened of such action from outside Nation
Media Group. Within weeks of that decision, NMG’s management also allowed the
contract of Africa’s foremost cartoonist Geoffrey Mwampembwa, ‘Gado’, to laps
because of the discomfort his contributions were causing the Executive. Other,
subsequent departures of senior editorial staff did little to assuage the moral
dilemma we felt at our continued association with the NMG whose respect for
human rights and freedom of expression was then in question. We asked the
company to change course.
Our view
then, as it remains now, was that these actions damaged the NMG’s claim to be a
champion of editorial independence and media freedom.
The Board’s
response, when it came two months later, promised unspecified action, which
never materialized.
Last month,
the NMG released from its services Linus Kaikai, who, as chair of the Kenya
Editors Guild, had spoken out against collusion between the Executive and some
media managers to censor reporting on the mock swearing-in of opposition leader
Raila Odinga. Subsequently, the editors of the Saturday Nation informed one of
the most-read and discussed columnists that his contract would not be renewed,
and only after he formally inquired about his status.
Long before
the communication, it was reported that discontinuing of economist David Ndii’s
column was one of the Executive’s conditions for the reinstatement of NMG’s
broadcast frequencies, which had been unlawfully switched off air.
A worrying
pattern has emerged where it appears the Executive is able to influence who
works for or contributes to the NMG. The Executive has had numerous
opportunities and resources to tell its side of whatever story is being
publicly discussed – and it has done so both through its spokespeople and
through pro-government columnists, including in the Nation’s publications.
The
Executive and NMG’s actions suggest state capture of the media. Censoring
individual columnists signals official intolerance for dissenting views, and
suggests Executive willingness to go any length – even co-opting editors – to
achieve its aims. It is unacceptable that they should also be deciding who can
have a voice in publicly accessed spaces. A media organization that tacitly
supports such a position alienates itself from the public.
Two years
ago, we opted that the judgement and leadership of some of the NMG’s editorial
board and its senior management was questionable and engendered public
suspicion about its political independence. These latest actions have, in our
collective view, destroyed public trust the NMG’s publications enjoyed, making
our continued association with NMG untenable.
We refuse
to continue to clothe the loss of editorial independence and media freedom at
the NMG with respectability.
Thankfully,
public opinion is no longer in the sole grip of those who buy ink by the
barrel. We are encouraged by the emergence of more egalitarian models for accessing
and sharing information, and will not be powerless witnesses to the silencing
of even one voice, however disagreeable those in power might find it.
It is with
regret that we hereby collectively resign as independent columnists from the
NMG. We assure our readership that we intend to continue to be heard and to
engage with readers through making use of such models for free thought and the
free exchange of ideas.

Nation Media Group’s Statement On Withdrawal By Columnists
Nation
Media Group notes with regret the position taken by columnists who have been
writing for NMG platforms and have decided to stop writing for our
publications. We respect their right to take a collective decision, although
each of them had an individual contract that we have diligently honored over
the years we have worked with them. We wish to reiterate that overall we have
honored our obligation to respect their views and did not tamper with their
positions expect to correct basic errors.
NMG was
founded more than half a century ago on the bedrock of independent voices,
diversity and freedom of expression. It is in this regard that we developed,
through a process of public participation and publicly published our editorial
policy to guide our conduct and journalism. We believe that the principles of
independence, fairness and balance, as espoused in our editorial policy, are
key to promoting the democratic space whilst being mindful of the impact that
information in the public space plays in shaping public opinions.
We wish to
reassure our readers and stakeholders that we will continue to be committed to
media freedom whilst delivering value in line with their
expectations.
Jubilee Party Finally Responds To The Cambidge Analytica Scandal
The Jubilee Party through its secretary general Raphael Tuju has come out to vehemently deny the allegations that the party sought the services of Cambridge Analytica to influence the Kenyan elections in 2017.
Raphael Tuju, in a candid interview with Channel 4, said he was a stranger to Cambridge Analytica and his party only sought the services of Cambridge Analytica's parent company Stategic Communications Laboratories (SCL) for research especially focus group discussion results that fed into production of communication materials like posters and billboards.
The secretary general when asked about data mining that Cambridge Analytica, he acknowledged the fact that the West was dealing with such mischief but was quick to assert that they wouldn't need such services because the dynamics of voters behavior in this country is completely different.
Tuju further denied claims that Jubilee Party may have paid Harris Media to run the Raila ads on Facebook.
Raila Odinga has since vowed to sue Cambridge Analytica and Facebook for defamation claiming the video ads tainted his image and depicted him as a very evil man.
The ruling party has been largely quiet on the scandal that has rocked the UK based company with claims of massive data mining breaches.
Raphael Tuju also doubles up as a minister with no portfolio in Uhuru Kenyatta's Government.

Twitter To Ban Cryptocurrency Ads
Twitter Inc has announced that from Tuesday it is banning all cryptocurrency related ads in a bid to avoid giving publicity and legitimacy to potential fraud schemes and large investor losses.
The ban will cover initial coin offerings (ICOs) and token sales. ICOs are an unregulated means by which funds are raised for a new cryptocurrency venture.
The ban, which is expected to take effect over a period of the next thirty days, will also cover cryptocurrency exchange and wallet services unless the company seeking to advertise is public and listed on major stock markets.
![]() |
Twitter Inc |
Facebook is also implementing major restrictions on cryptocurrency related ads while Google has announced that a ban on such ads on its platforms will come into effect in June.
These regulations and restrictions by such major companies have had a negative effect on the prices of cryptocurrencies with the price of Bitcoin lowering after the Twitter announcements.
Many experts have also warned consumers against investing in cryptocurrencies saying they are highly speculative and effectively too risky to put money on.
Raila Odinga To Sue Cambridge Analytica And Facebook
NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has for the first time come out to speak about the Cambridge Analytica scandal. He says the firm which, in coordination with Harris Media, ran videos about him on Facebook portrayed him as the devil incarnate.
The opposition leader said that those ads that ran on Facebook depicted a very evil Raila and expressed his disappointment over the social network's decision to allow those advertisements to run.
Raila acknowledged the fact that Kenya was leading the continent in terms of social media usage and international companies had found the right environment in the country to run such kind of propaganda.
Speaking to Channel 4 which is responsible for the expose, the former premiere promised to sue Cambridge Analytica for their actions. He said they would use an international law firm in the lawsuits.
Asked on whether he would go after Facebook, he said they were contemplating on suing Facebook too.
Cambridge Analytica bragged of swaying the Kenya elections and bragged of designing Jubilee's manifesto and even branding the party more than once.
The UK company is in the middle of a storm that led to Facebook suspending them from using the social network site after they were involved in a huge data breach. Facebook has since apologized to it users on the data breach.
Raila Endorses Uhuru's Cousin For Nairobi Deputy Governor
The handshake seems to be doing wonders as Raila Odinga endorsed Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin Annah Nyokabi for Nairobi City County deputy governor position which was left void after the resignation of Polycarp Igathe.
Anne Nyokabi had paid a courtesy call to Raila Odinga in his Capitol Hill offices when Raila made the announcement. He said he has known Annah Nyokabi for a long time and that her record as an MP is outstanding.
He further said that the lady was a champion gender equality, economic empowerment and wealth creation. He said she was best suited to be Mike Sonko's deputy.
Annah Nyokabi thanked Raila for the endorsement and promised to support the healing and reconciliation process that is being pushed by the NASA leader and her cousin Uhuru Kenyatta.
Annah Nyokabi served as the first Kiambu County women representative but was dealt a humiliating defeat by former Kameme FM presenter Muthoni wa Muchomba. She has a political science degree from York University in Canada.
Mike Sonko has 22 candidates to choose from although some of them like Millicent Omanga have already rejected the offer.
Sonko Warned To Keep Off Mt Kenya Politics
Just a day after accusing Mt Kenya politicians of holding night meetings in Nairobi to plot how to scuttle William Ruto's presidential ambitions, a section of leaders from the region have warned the governor to steer clear of such talks and focus on service delivery in Nairobi.
Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua has accused Mike Sonko of meddling in Mt Kenya affairs while he failed to convince members of his community living in Nairobi to vote for Uhuru Kenyatta in the last general elections.
Rigathi said that more than 200,000 voters who voted for him did not vote for Uhuru Kenyatta and therefore he did not have any moral standing to accuse the leaders of planning to betray Ruto. He further said that Nairobi was choking under problems and that should be the governor's main focus.
Hon Rigathi also assured the deputy president of support from the region when the time comes because Uhuru Kenyatta had told voters so.
Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu was, however, unapologetic in his statement saying that there was nothing wrong with holding meetings. He further said that the deputy president was not guaranteed of support and that they would decide who to support in 2022.
![]() |
Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu |
Mt Kenya Teachers Forum was however adamant that Ruto would be betrayed saying that the region is trustworthy and would fulfill its pledges.
Ruto's presidential bid has always been threatened by a section of leaders from the region. Many of those leaders are those that strongly believe he rigged them out of Jubilee nominations to sway the 2022 politics.
Some of those leaders are former Kiambu governor William Kabogo, former Starehe Mp Maina Kamanda, former nominated senator Paul Njoroge, Nyeri Town Mp Ngunjiri Wambugu, former Tetu Mp James Ndungu Gethenji, former Gatanga Mp Peter Kenneth, among others.
USA, Donors To Pay Uhuru, Raila For The Handshake
Fresh details are emerging on how the West plans to bankroll the famous Uhuru Kenyatta - Raila Odinga handshake that ended hostilities between the two leaders who promised to work together moving forward.
The United States government through its ambassador to Kenya Bob Godec informed Raila that Washington was happy with his decision to strike a truce deal with Uhuru Kenyatta and they even offered technical support in the program that the two leaders promised to come up with.
The ambassador confirmed having offered support to the leaders but was non committal on the exact details of the support. He said that while Kenya's ethnic problems would take a longer time to solve, the two leaders' commitment was very instrumental in the healing process.
![]() |
US Ambassador to Kenya Bob Godec |
The Commonwealth Secretariat has also pledged to offer support once the two leaders come up with the program.
British and European Union diplomats in Nairobi are also meeting the two leaders to discuss the ways in which they can support the deal.
The foreign diplomats were largely the behind the scene forces that pressured the two leaders into dialogue and subsequent agreements. The diplomats had talked Raila into believing that his legacy of democracy and diplomacy was at the risk of being thwarted if he continued pushing for mass action and boycott as a way of settling his scores with the government.
Raila's party ODM had earlier assured the public that the deal was neither a power sharing deal, a formation of a coalition government nor would it be funded by the public. The party said Jubilee would remain the majority party in parliament while they would stick to their role of the Minority party that checks and balances the government.
Drama As Miguna Refuses Second Deportation
There was a nine hour standstill in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after police officers tried to deport Miguna Miguna again when he entered the country. Miguna Miguna's flight EK 719 jetted into the country at 2.30 pm on Monday but he ended up spending the night at the airport.
The NRM general was denied entry by immigration officers on the account that he did not have a Visa and yet he is not a citizen of his country. But Miguna Miguna in his true fashion demanded to be allowed to enter the country saying he is a Kenyan by birth and did not require a Visa to access the country.
Demanding for his luggage and passport, he refused to board the Emirates flight that the security officers were trying to bungle him into. So fiery and violent was the altercation that the Emirates flight captain declared him a hostile passenger and demanded that the door of the plane be shut. The flight had earlier been delayed to have him board it.
The officers who had literally carried and tried to force Miguna Miguna into the Dubai bound plane became very violent and even threatened to shoot James Orengo if he did not stop the interview he was giving journalists. During the interview he declared that Kenya is a banana republic.
Raila Odinga who was present at the airport tried unsuccessfully to secure Miguna Miguna's entry. He later drove away from the airport without speaking to journalists. With him was Jimmy Wanjigi, Miguna Miguna's lawyers John Khaminwa and Cliff Ombeta.
The government's decision to deny Miguna Miguna entry is in open defiance to court's orders that had demanded that he be granted entry. Kenya Human Rights Commission had been tasked with ensuring that he returns safely.
Miguna Miguna has been very vocal about the government of the day terming it as illegitimate. He has been on a world tour promoting the ideologies of the National Resistance Movement.
After the famous handshake, he called Raila Odinga "Very Stupid" for reaching a deal with Uhuru Kenyatta saying people had died for him and it was a betrayal that he went for a meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta.
He boldly swore in Raila Odinga at Uhuru Park and dared the police to come and arrest him at his Runda home which they did. The events shortly after culminated in his deportation.
Edith Nyenze Wins Kitui West Seat With Landslide
The widow of the late Francis Nyenze received her certificate of election from Kitui West IEBC returning officer James Mbai after beating her opponents hands down in an election that was barely contested.
Edith Nyenze won with more than 70% of the votes and promised to serve all her constituents regardless of whether they had voted for her or not.
Edith handed her closest rival a humiliating defeat by gathering 14372 votes thereby beating the second person by 12326 votes. Dennis Muli Mulwa had only managed to garner 2046 votes. The returning officer effectively declared and congratulated Edith Nyenze as the next Kitui West MP.
Going into the by-election, it was largely expected that the lady would win after she was endorsed by NASA and Jubilee. Jubilee secretary general declared that they would support Edith Nyenze, a move opposed by party members in the area.
Edith Nyenze, whose brother Enoch Wambua is Kitui County's senator, is a former principal of Kyondoni secondary school and recently resigned from the Retirement Benefits Authority to contest for the seat became vacant after her husband Francis Nyenze succumbed to illness.
Congratulations are in order.
