Money Withdrawals Between Airtel And Safaricom To Start Next Week

Following successful pilot interoperability tests spanning over a period of two months, money transactions between Airtel and M-Pesa mobile money services will kick off next week on Tuesday.
Telkom is set to join the two companies at a later date. They recently launched their own mobile money transfer service called T-Kash. One billion shillings was used in revamping Telkom infrastructure.
Telecom firms have been in negotiations for over a year now to have the interoperability rolled out. This is expected to lead the road in fighting Safaricom's dominance in the market.
M-Pesa as it stands has a market share of more than 80 per cent, followed distantly by Equity Bank's Equitel Money.

Strings Attached: Chuka University Student Takes Life In An Alleged Love Tragedy

A second year student of Computer Science in Chuka University took his own life yesterday in a bizarre incident of love gone sour.
He was found dangling on a rope in his room. The student left a suicide note that seemed to suggest his girlfriend had cheated on him.
Shocked students took to social media to express their condolences and made pleas for people to seek help when troubled.
Chuka Igambangombe OCPD confirmed the incident as having happened.

Google Buys More Renewable Energy Than It Needs

Tech giant Google pledged some time in 2017 to power its data centers and offices with 100% renewable energy. Google has not only met that goal but surpassed it, buying more renewable energy than it actually consumes.
Google does not entirely rely on wind and solar to for its energy needs and thus they do renewable energy matching. This means that for every one kilowatt hour of non renewable energy consumed, they purchase one kilowatt hour of renewable energy from a wind or solar farm specifically built for Google says it has contracts to buy three gigawatts of output from energy projects. The company boasts of being the first company of its size to achieve that fete.
In a blog post, the company said that no other corporate purchaser buys more renewable energy than they do.
Google has said that even though their electricity consumption demands increase everyday, they are working towards 100% renewable energy usage.

Uhuru Kenyatta Set To Nominate Raila Odinga As African Union Special Envoy

President Uhuru Kenyatta is personally leading an intense lobbying at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa to have former prime minister Raila Odinga named as an African Union Special Envoy.
Such an appointment will put Raila Odinga in the league of highly revered African statesmen like Olesegun Obasanjo and Kofi Annan that lead various peace efforts across the continent.
This is part of the truce deal that Uhuru and Raila struck and was cemented by a handshake outside Harambee House which houses the president's office.
The African Union commission chairperson Moussa Faki is said to have agreed to name the former prime minister as a special envoy due to his vast experience in leadership.
Raila Odinga will effectively have two offices in Addis Ababa and in Nairobi with staff. The offices are meant to boost his local and continental presence. In addition he will travel frequently to execute his mandate while being expected not to engage in local politics.
If Raila accepts this appointment, he will inevitably have to quit politics. This is a subject that has been at the center of political debate with many saying that he will never retire.

Residents of Lugusi village in Webuye, Western Kenya have been left calling for the blood and quick excommunication of one 25 year old man after catching him in what they term, ungodly acts that may bring ill winds to the doors of The Wanga.

The man was caught pants down sticking it to neighbors cow. The unfortunate animal had gone missing from the tether whence it was pegged by the owner. On walking around seeking her animal, the woman came upon the unsightly happenings.

The man whose name is withheld took the cow to secluded area and bound it's rear legs. He bound the legs so firmly the animal couldn't move and kick him back into his senses.
Area Chief Nayombe said they had already called a veterinary officer to check on the health condition of the abused animal and assured that the boy would meet very stiff endings from the law and the community back to back.

Bestiality is illegal as per the laws of Kenya and Animal Rights activism is not yet as ripe in the nation as would be desired to bring such individuals to book.

USD500,000 Priest Missing.

Kidnappers visited a church in Goma city North Kivu province at the eastern part of Democratic Republic of Congo.
The men captured one priest in their wake. This is not the first time a man of cloth has been taken by the kidnappers. In July of 2017 two priests were kidnapped in similar fashion as Was The taking of three priests in 2012. None of the taken clergymen have been recovered alive or dead.

The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of $500000 for the return of Fr. Celestin Nagango whom they took in their latest attack. Addressing this random demand to the National Episcopal Division of the Church. It is not clear what fate met the last five parishioners to be taken since no communication was received regarding them from either kidnappers or the church.

Vendors and butchers in the outskirts of Nairobi have recorded significant losses stemming from the government's decision to quickly choke charcoal production and sale in the country. Evening chewing of roast meat is common in most towns and cities with large middle classes.

The government's banning of charcoal business has spiked the rise in costs of choma, initially a sackful of charcoal sold at KES1700 and now goes for a sober KES3000 as the commodity continues to dwindle in supply. This quickly translates to high prices of choma at the street level, a cost consumers would rather not face. This leaves the business at crossroads and many thriving choma havens threaten to die into ghost towns.

Incensed by the loss of her brother and the pain of her mother, she systematically killed off her crew mates, one after the other. Equalizer style to the very last one.

She reveals that her life is a bit sane at the moment, she lives alone and her mother still doesn't know she killed her son. Many times she wants to tell her but would rather not.

When asked if she's worried about the police catching up with her for her crimes she comfortable replies that they've colluded for long and leaves us guessing she actually did the police a favor.

He says he is innocent and the member of parliament is trying to fix him due to personal problems that they are having.
The man who was arrested in Tanzania and has since been taken to court has denied sending nude photos to members of parliament and accused Sabina Chege of being the driving force behind the Mps' woes.

Truce As Anne Waiguru Faces Raila Odinga

The handshake between Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta continues to create many firsts as two arch rivals met on Wednesday to discuss devolution.
Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru was today in the morning at Capitol Hill to meet Raila Odinga where they discussed issues related to the devolution conference expected to be held this year.
Also in the meeting was Devolution cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa and Muranga senator Irungu Kangata.
Raila and Waiguru have never seen eye to eye especially after Raila linked her to the NYS scandal that saw the country lose billions of shillings in shadow tenders, contracts and grand theft.
Waiguru went to the courts suing Raila for defaming her. Raila was also pushing for a lifestyle audit of the then Devolution cabinet secretary.
Waiguru has since made up with many people who opposed her during her stint as a cabinet secretary. Deputy president William Ruto who was on record calling her a thief is now one of her political best friends and speculation is rife that he might even pick her as a running mate in 2022.

Sabina Chege Denies Relationship With Wazir Benson Chacha

Murang'a Women Representative Sabina Chege has come out to vehemently deny that she had any relationship with Wazir Benson Chacha who has been accused of conning MPs using Sabina Chege's phone number.
Wazir Benson Chacha who is now in police custody and facing criminal charges is also said to have been in sexual relationships with thirteen members of parliament, a record breaking number of relationships for one simple man.
Sabina Chege says she has never been in contact with the man, who was arrested by police in Tanzania, and has dared him to release the sexual escapade videos he claims to have of them if he has them.
The member of parliament was speaking earlier today on a breakfast show hosted by Jeff Koinange and Jalang'o.
Benson Chacha conned many MPs including Speaker Justin Muturi, Jakoyo Midiwo and cabinet secretary Margaret Kobia. He allegedly posed as Sabina Chege and told them she was sick with cancer and needed six million shillings for treatment in Australia.
Sabina Chege says she is not sick and that the conman used her id to register a phone line he used to con the members of parliament.
There are pictures, however, circulating that shows the member of parliament with Benson Wazir Chacha.

James Orengo Positioning Himself To Succeed Raila Odinga?

The recent utterances and actions of Siaya senator James Orengo have been interpreted by many as him positioning himself for bigger things.
When ODM senators decided to oust Moses Wetangula from the position of Minority Leader in the Senate and replaced him with Orengo, many expected the lawyer to turn down the offer.
James Orengo not only assumed his new role as the Minority Leader but also defied pleas from his party leader Raila Odinga that he rejects the appointment because ODM risked losing support from the Bungoma region where Wetangula hails.

Disturbing Death Of Student At Alliance High Shocks The Nation

The country is reeling from shock after a form three student lost his life in Alliance High School in an alleged case of negligence.
Harun Kipng'eno Kemboi died on Friday after being admitted at a local hospital on Monday. The family claims they were kept in the dark about the student's illness.
Close family members who talked to the media said they were informed that Harun was admitted to hospital on Monday and tests that indicated he had Tuberculosis were done on Wednesday. They claim they were informed the student was ill on Friday only to be called 10 minutes later that he had died out of complications.
The school reported the matter to the police who claim they have sent a team of investigates to investigate the incident.
The ministry of education says it is probing the case to know what exactly transpired.

Larry Madowo will not be staying unemployed any longer after resigning from Nation Media Group recently. The celebrated news anchor and presenter cut ties with NMG after a frosty relationship that couldn't hold.
The man, who is responsible for driving The Trend, into Kenya's highest earning show, has landed a job with British Broadcasting Corporation as The BBC Africa Business Editor.
The position was recently advertised by the state run corporation but it is said it was just a formality as the media house had long reached a deal with Larry Madowo even before he resigned.
Larry Madowo has shown signs of landing a job with a media house of such caliber after he started featuring in most of them to give his opinion on matters affecting the continent.

Kalonzo Vows To Take The Long Road, Launches Scathing Attack Against Raila

Wiper Democratic Movement leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has vowed to never sacrifice his political ambitions for another individual and even go solo if need be in the next general elections expected to be held in 2022.
Speaking during a party meeting, he made it clear that he was wiser now and will never play second fiddle to anyone.
Flanked by leaders from Ukambani including Johnston Muthama, Governor Kivutha Kibwana and Governor Charity Ngilu, among others, Kalonzo Musyoka expressed his anger and disappointment over Raila Odinga's failure to tame some opposition politicians who had branded him a watermelon for skipping the swearing in event.
So angry was Kalonzo Musyoka that he even called Raila Odinga seeds of the watermelon he was being referred to as.
Kalonzo said that his 2022 bid for State House would not be stopped by anyone and he will not need anyone including Raila Odinga to declare him suitable for the seat.
Johnston Muthama said he was hurt by statements made by ODM leaders who claimed that Kalonzo Musyoka has chickened out of the event and he said they should ask themselves why they whole chose not to go to the event.
Speaking at the same event Charity Ngilu said she was considering joining the Wiper party since it was home.
There have been political realignments since the famous Raila Odinga - Uhuru Kenyatta handshake that left the opposition in limbo. Wetangula and Mudavadi are in consultations to have their parties merged and push for Luhya unity.

Gathoni Wa Muchomba Asks Rich Kikuyu Men To Marry Several Wives

Kiambu County women representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba has asked rich men in the county to consider marrying several wives as a solution to many ills that plague the county.
The lady, famous for defeating the president's cousin in the last general elections and being on record saying that MPs' salaries should be raised, said that young men that were suffering from alcoholism did not have proper upbringing.
Speaking at Violence Recovery Center during a launch event, the lady asked men to marry even up to five wives if they could sustain them.
She also asked men who have children out of wedlock to consider marrying those women so that the children could grow up in proper families.
Gathoni acknowledged the fact that a majority of street families in Nairobi County hailed from the community and it was important that the situation be reverted.
She sought to dismiss those opposed to polygamy adding that it was not a bad thing and was part of the community's culture that had stood the test of time.
The member of parliament said that most of the alcoholics she talked to only talked of their mothers in the conversations and most of them had never even seen or heard of their fathers.
Kiambu County is currently battling a huge alcohol menace that has claimed lives. The governor, Waititu Babayao, has vowed to fight those selling poisonous drinks to addicts in the county.

Child Homosexual Ring Unearthed

A concerned parent stormed the school premises where her son attends primary school with her inebriated and partially dysfunctional offspring in tow. She says her boy came home in the wee hours in that singular state and demanded to know under what circumstances was her son being influenced thus.

The boy a class eight pupil on regaining function of his senses revealed what is currently baffling scores of parents at Grasslands Primary School in Kipsongo.

He admitted to have been drinking alcohol and participating in the very homosexual acts he could describe with his vocabulary. The pupil further identified  eighteen other boys with whom he was recruited into the damned cult.

He named a prominent local business man as the origin of this decay, the man is alleged to have recruited the boys on basis of poverty alleviation and what not, it's however clear this man was defiling and misleading children at a very crucial developmental stage for self cognition.

The man initially turned one student who was used to influence the other pupils going back to class five. He is supposedly responsible for intoxicating the children before involving them in demeaning sexual acts, it's not known whether he acts as an individual or entity.

Parents, teachers and locals are blamed heavily for not raising suspicion or noticing behavior changes in these children, children who have been participating in deviant sexual behavior for five years. What have the parents been occupied with to warrant such abuse and misleading of their youngins?

Grasslands Primary School is located in an informal settlement in Sabaot at Kipsongo and headed by Wahome Ngunyi who attributes this calamity to the settings and environment of the school. The boys are currently in counseling for psychological trauma.

1. Final confirmation is that MM left for Toronto last night at 00.30 hours aboard AC 057 and was able to produce his Canadian passport for travel.

2. UAE authorities will most likely investigate how Miguna got his Canadian passport back after failing to produce it to the authorities on departure from Kenya and arrival in Dubai.

3. Kenya will also investigate how that passport got back to him.

4. Kenya Embassy in Dubai tried to assist Miguna to regularize his dual Citizenship that would help him get into Kenya he declined.

5. Canadian consular officials in Dubai also tried to help him get a Visa into Kenya and he declined.

6. Kenya remains keen to ensure Miguna's dual citizenship is regularized at the earliest opportunity and upon his willingness to cooperate.

Not to be a sore tooth but the ecstasy is a bit downplayed and Miguna has surely come to the end of the road, what with concealing passports in quest for cheap drama. The only surerity in this list is on point 3. That will not happen as promised.

In a bizarre twist of events a Romanian court has rejected Constantine Reliu's claim that he is alive. This came after a long period of litigation regarding his living or death.

Mr. Reliu's wife officially registered him as dead in abiding with the laws of the land. This is after her husband went missing for an extended period of time and she felt obligated to do the deed in order to shake off some legal complications.

The ruling is final. Reliu said: 'I am officially dead, although I’m alive. I have no income and because I am listed dead, I can’t do anything.' It is not known where or under what circumstances Mr. Reliu disappeared, all that's known is his wife doesn't consider the man alive and the laws of Romania agree loudly with her.

The Earth is Flat: Conclusive Evidence

It is clear to many among-st us that our beloved planet has numerous secrets and mysteries that it desires be not revealed to any regular Jack And Jill. Speculations have been ripe now than ever, than even the times of prosecution for merely thinking these things that I boldly will tell today.

The Earth is flat.

However, this is not the conclusion that we are driving at today. Hysteria and much balderdash has clouded the realization that most of earth's inhabitants have come upon by sheer strength of will.
The hype surrounding flat earth theory is generated by a select class of individuals who up-to recently made us believe the earth was elliptical and the solar system is held together by gravity. This elite class has jumped onto the flat earth theory with a singular aim of mocking and eventually decaying the truths by shrouding it in jokes memes and inaccurate testimonials.

From an unknown location on good green earth for now that is, I came upon the conclusion that earth is as flat as the electrocardiogram of your hopes.

Earth is a cube. A cube has six faces, these faces are the flat surfaces of earth. A cube has edges, these edges are the horizon-for lack of better words. With this discovery we hereby put to bed this debacle. Consider this a final transmission.

Broadcasting Lies

Common assumptions during the state sponsored nationwide shutting down of television and radio broadcasters were informed on the basis of curtailing information freedoms of the mass to collect receiving and distribution of this information. Few do not bother to ask what exactly were the losses and gains, what actually happened during the black days?

Broadcasting houses did not go all rants and chants against the state because of your rights to information my good friend.  Broadcasting houses did not run to the courts or quote constitutional rights because your rights matter. If at all, they should be shut down permanently for blatantly misleading the masses through misinformation, omission and commissioning of what they see fit for their narratives.

Our broadcasters have been in bed with the state and have let down not only you buy the very constitution they bark about all over the place. They cried for leniency because of the losses accrued when you don't watch Mexican soaps and sappy content from the Philippines. The never ending advertising that interlace all content being aired. That's what they missed. They wanted their pockets refilled and we'll padded.

The broadcasters were in no way hurt by your 72hour absence in front of a screen they were bleeding from inside.

Why State Should Shut Broadcasters Permanently

It's a crucial part of the state's agenda to maintain accurate information and distribute the same to its populace without the meddling of rating hungry individuals out to make profits on air masquerading as independent, authoritative news broadcasters. This is a job solely for the state, fail it may and multiple times it will but be damned with everyone assuming that since its enshrined in the constitution to have an opinion makes their opinion way heavier than the greater good.

It is this allowance of multiple players in the information industry that suggests it's better for us, the citizenry and the nation's welfare that these broadcasters be run out of business. We already have enough distortions to information springing from accessible social media platforms and news feeds on the internet that it's almost insanity to cry for more uncredible sources of news. This bone has to be picked and buried in a way that finding it shall be a thing of tales.

We could have a select broadcasting houses for material that qualifies such as sports, government documentaries about the working of counties. Breakdown of how they state is run instead of early morning bile on TV and indecent material on the FM. These freedoms we enjoy are a luxury at the cost of basic needs of the state and the masses.

Man Flees to Death

A 42 year old man from a village in Tharaka Nithi county is in hospital for attempted suicide.

The local carpenter slit his throat with a kitchen knife and was found by locals who informed police before he was rushed to PCEA Chogoria Mission Hospital. It is not known to the residents why the man took to cutting his throat as it's uncommon for such measures to be pursued in the well knit society.

Taking ones life is shunned in the community like most other communities, more in such rural settings where his issues could be addressed amicably.
It's not clear why the man attempted to flee from the hospital nor under what state he was when making the run for it.

He was easily restrained by security personnel and returned to the custody of the state under Chogoria Mission Hospital where his fate shall be decided.
