How Habida's Cancerous Performance Ruined Keri Hilson's Concert

How Habida's Cancerous Performance Ruined Keri Hilson's Concert

Concert goers claim that they witnessed the worst performance ever staged on Kenyan soil courtesy of Habida who played the death of the party right before the main act hit the stage.
Habida who has only released one successful song in collaboration with Nameless almost a decade ago took advantage of the fact that her husband had organized the Keri Hilson event to install herself as the curtain raiser for the event.
Her performance was so bad the audience booed her off the stage. To make matters worse, Habida continued to perform for close to an hour oblivious of the fact that she was unwanted in her husband's event.
We are made to understand that Habida did not have time to prepare for the performance and has been rusty over the past years after taking a music break. Many have suggested that she "goes back to the hiatus that she came from" because she is better off there.
Here is a blow by blow account of her disastrous performance as narrated by an unnamed party goer who was present at the event that could have been a total success had Habida not decided to force her terrible voice down people's throats.

Third World Country Uganda Shuts Down All P0RN Websites

Third World Country Uganda Shuts Down All P0RN Websites

The government of Uganda, headed by President Yoweri Museveni, has taken an unprecedented move and tried to police one of the most difficult areas to regulate in the world; p0rn.
Ugands's communication regulator, Uganda Communications Commission, has given all the Internet Service Providers in the country a period not extending September 2018 to stop streaming p0rn0graphy.
The regulator has identified 10 international websites and 17 local websites that Ugandans frequent the most and asked that their access be blocked.
Godfrey Mutabazi, who heads the Uganda Communications Commission, said that the continued streaming of p0rn0graphy by the blacklisted sites is in breach of Section 13 of the Anti-P0rn0graphy Act of 2014.
Very few of the Internet Service Providers in Uganda have complied with the new directive. The directive is going to be faced with more hurdles as Ugandans are expected to go around the ban through the use of VPNs, the dark web and use of websites that have not been affected by the ban.
The Ugandan government had earlier insinuated that they had procured a machine that could detect the presence of p0rn in phone storage in a move seen to threaten Ugandans.

Top Kenyan Authors You Need To Be Reading: Here Are The New Faces Of Writing

Top Kenyan Authors You Need To Be Reading: Here Are The New Faces Of Writing Alfred Orero
"Fiction reveals truth that reality obscures." These words spoken by the American essayist and philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson, resonate perfectly with the events of the day in Kenya.
The turbulence in the economy and political restlessness coupled with the half-truths served to the public by the media can be too much sometimes.
Fiction can be the medium through which we filter through this murky waters and find our contemporary reality. And Kenyans are already doing exactly that. Statistics say more and more Kenyans are taking to Amazon and other bookselling platforms to pick their favorite books. Just recently when a Kenyan author Joe Khamisi had his book leaked online, it caused a massive debate online that trended for an entire week. This goes a long way in saying just how much Kenyans love reading.
We are witnessing a new frontier in the writing space with young and budding writers putting their feet in the dirt. These writers are largely responsible for the thriving publishing scene which has seen a steady rise over the past few years.
Daily Updates has chosen a list of five authors worth watching. This list of both fiction and nonfiction authors was assembled by our team through a lengthy process of selection that was, to say the least, draining but fulfilling nonetheless.

Alfred is an author of exciting contemporary romance and witty poetry. He’s a last-born son, statistician, poet and a sports enthusiast. He does his best writing in planes, in his house on slow weekends and in faraway destinations that he likes to keep secret. Alfred loves to play intimate storyteller, taking his readers to places where a lot that is unthinkable here on earth is possible. His poems derive their power and influence from the freedom he gives words when he writes them. Alfred gives stories new angles and unleashes creativity in the reader too, as he challenges them to understand why the multiverse might be a thing after all. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya, where when he is not writing, he makes numbers and data tell stories.
Alfred is moving into uncharted waters like never seen before in the next phase of his writing career; mathematical poetry. During a recent interview with a local daily, he intimated that his coming books will combine the two fields he is most passionate about to yield poems with swag and stories that observe mathematical laws.

Cyprian Nyakundi's Twitter Account Suspended For Leaking Martin Kafafa's Pictures

Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi lost his Twitter account which boasted of more than 700,000 followers on Tuesday morning to suspension.
Cyprian Nyakundi who had earlier leaked the compromising photo of the group managing director of Radio Africa Group Limited is still coming into terms with the loss.
His Twitter account was the second most followed Twitter account in Kenya before the purge that saw prominent Tweeps lose their followers.
Nyakundi is expected to lose the clout that he commanded on Twitter that was highly attributed to his large following. It is said that Nyakundi is used by people in high places to push their agendas online but it is not clear if they will still be needing his services with his new account which so far has only 200 followers.
Cyprian Nyakundi has been appealing to his fans and friends to demand that his Twitter account be reinstated using the hashtag #BringBackNyakundi. Those calls to Twitter through their CEO Jack have fallen on deaf ears.
