'Mchele' Drug Overdose. Misery and Pain As Man Undergoes Surgery After Horror Clubbing

'Mchele' Drug Overdose. Misery and Pain As Man Undergoes Surgery After Horror Clubbing

A man in Nairobi is reportedly undergoing post surgical medical care after he was drugged at a popular night club. As narrated by a friend, the last thing he remembers is being in a club in Dagoretti corner. The infamous mchele drug is known to knock out victims after they take their guests home. The guests (mostly women), then steal electronics and household belongings.

Despite numerous cases getting to police, such cases become hard to crack as the victim often cannot remember what transpired.

It is also said that the criminals work in gangs and are rarely caught.

The tweet:

Someone i know was drugged in a club and overdosed on that mchele drug. His work laptop was stolen together with his households. He had to undergo surgery because his internal organs started swelling and bleeding. Stay safe people.

Mandera Elders To Negotiate Release of Cuban Doctors From Al Shabaab Custody

Mandera Elders To Negotiate Release of Cuban Doctors From Al Shabaab Custody

The search for the two Cuban doctors who were abducted in Mandera Town on their way to work by suspected al Shabaab militants entered day three as police and military personnel intensified their search operations.
Residents of Mandera Town and Bulahawa in Somalia reported seeing military choppers hovering above ground on Sunday morning but things remained relatively quiet for the rest of the day.
A police source that spoke to the Nation newspaper reported that intelligence reports shared indicated that it was highly likely the doctors were being held in the El Adde, a town in the southwestern Gedo region of Somalia.
On Sunday evening, a high stake meeting was held between the county government of Governor Ali Roba and the national government led by North Eastern Regional Commissioner Mohamed Birik.
A source from the meeting indicated that the plans to send a team of senior elders from Mandera town to Somalia to negotiate for the release of the Cuban doctors had been finalised.
The police have intensified their sting operation to nab rogue taxi operators in the town. Several vehicles with suspicious registration were impounded. The police have said the vehicles will not be released until National Transport and Safety Authority gives them a green light.
A number of Taxi drivers in the scene of crime were suspiciously quiet and unnerved when the doctors abducted.
There was no attempt to save the doctors or stop the abductors by the many vehicles that were in the area. Only the police tried to stop them and as a result one of them lost his life.

University Student Fighting For Her Life After Being Stabbed By Maniac, Stalker

Pwani University Student Fighting For Life After Being Stabbed Severally By Maniac, Stalker

A Pwani University student is fighting for her life at the Kilifi Referral Hospital after she sustained serious wounds inflicted by a man who stabbed her several times. The police claim that the two have a child together.
Ms Naomi Chepkemoi, a third year student of Public Health, was stabbed by the man after an argument ensued in her house in Kilifi Town.
The maniac, according to the Kilifi County Police Commander Patrick Okeri, traveled hundreds of kilometers from Nairobi on Sunday to commit the heinous act.
The police were alerted of a situation in a house in Kilifi Town and on arriving there they realized that the man had locked himself and the women in the house. They forcibly gained entry and rescued Naomi Chepkemoi.
The stalker reportedly traveled to Kilifi to demand answers on why the lady had returned the Sh3000 he had sent her for their child's upkeep. This is after allegedly traveling to Bomet where the girl's parents refused to let him see his child due to his madness tendencies.
When the woman told her that her parents had told her to end their relationship, he stabbed her severally with the aim to kill.
This incident is very similar to what happened to Ivy Wangechi who was fatally hit by an axe by a man who had been stalking her for months. The man had also similarly traveled from Nairobi to kill the medical student.
Femicide cases have been on the rise in Kenya over the past few years. Many have been demanding that the government steps up its effort to curb the violence and murder orchestrated against women in the country.
The Kilifi suspect will be arraigned in court today.

US Airstrike Kills Top ISIS Leader In Somalia

US Airstrike Kills Top ISIS Leader In Somalia

An airstrike led by the United States has felled Islamic State's second in command in Somalia, a security minister in the northwest region of Puntland confirmed the announcement.
ISIS commander Abdihakim Dhoqob and a suspected colleague were traveling in a car when the airstrike hit them near Hiririo village in the Iskushuban district of Bari region in the afternoon of Sunday.
The minister of security, Abdisamed Mohamed Galan, however refused to confirm whether it was the United States that had launched the airstrike. He was speaking from the port of Bokasso.
The United States recently resumed their airstrikes against terrorist groups in Somalia on Wednesday despite criticism by Amnesty International that claims civilians were being hit by some of the airstrikes.
The United States has admitted that only two civilians have been killed since they launched the airstrikes. Amnesty International disputes this number.
The number of ISIS fighters in Somalia are largely outnumbered by fighters in the al Shabaab group. A section of the al Shabaab pledged its allegiance to the ISIS.
The terrorist groups are losing grip in Somalia with the increasing airstrikes and the operations of the AMISOM force that has driven them out of many towns they previously held.
