Salty Kenyans Troll Achieng Agutu For Earning $50,000 On The Ellen Degeneres Show

Kenyans on Twitter cannot handle the fact that a Kenyan woman, and not them, went on an American show and did all it takes to earn $50,000 for her family. In the process, she also got to see her parents and brother after two years of separation.
Achieng Agutu, who is in school in the United States appeared on the widely famous The Ellen Degeneres Show, first as part of the audience and as a guest, where she talked about her Kenyan upbringing, how she ended up in the United States, the sacrifices her parents made to support her, and what she is doing to support herself.
In the show, Achieng Agutu made several claims. Her parents sold land to take her to school. She learned some English by watching artists perform on Ellen and searched their lyrics. She has five jobs; counselor, an Uber driver, a teacher for DACA, babysitter, and washes cars.
These claims triggered Kenyans on Twitter as always. For the better part of the morning they have been ripping the lady and her story apart attacking her from every angle imaginable.

Githeri Bloodbath. Nation Media Group Ordered to Pay Jimmy Wanjigi Sh8 Million for Fake Obituary

Githeri Bloodbath. Nation Media Group Ordered to Pay Jimmy Wanjigi Sh8 Million for Fake Obituary

Aga Khan owned media giant, Nation Media Group, has been ordered by the High Court to pay businessman Jimmy Wanjigi and his wife Ksh8 million for an obituary they ran that seemed to suggest the man had died.
The bizarre obituary was ran by the Nation Media Group's newspaper in February, 2017 just after the general elections that Jimmy Wanjigi had heavily featured in as the financial muscle of NASA leader Raila Odinga.
In the obituary, Jimmy Wanjigi's face was featured as a man who had died albeit his name was altered. The Nation apologized for the gaffe and promised to strengthen their fact checking department to ensure that such a mistake does not happen again.
In court, NMG argued that the person who should have been in trouble was the third party who paid for the obituary. The high court judge dismissed their argument on the basis that they profited financially from the obituary.
Jimmy Wanjigi will receive Sh4 million, and his wife will also receive Sh4 million from the media group.
This compensation development is coming just a day after another court ordered anti-corruption czar John Githongo to pay former cabinet minister Dr Chris Murungaru a staggering amount of more than Sh20 million.

Was Waititu Set Up In Shameful Budget Session In Senate? The Details

Was Waititu Set Up In Shameful Budget Session In Senate? The Details

Heavens cringed as Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu felt the burn on the hot seat in the Senate during a budget review. Panelists at a budget audit in the Senate spotted glaring errors in the budget. The governor known for his outspoken nature was lost for words as he claimed that the errors were new to him.

Was he set up?

As the boss of Kiambu County, it is expected that the finance department is the one tasked with the preparation of financial documents ready for audit.

It is also expected that the accounting experts would have taken him through the documents before submission to prepare for the committee.

Mr Waititu came into the panel confident, but the figures read to him from the budgets were Greek to him.

From money set aside for Statehouse functions, South Sudan peace process, benefits for retired presidents and other state advisory, it is clear that he did not go through the document.

It is also clear that his advisors did not review the document with him as these would be obvious errors pointed out.

Moreover, it seems like a document copied from what would be a State House budget.

So was he set up for public humiliation?

If so, it worked spectacularly well.
