Another One Bites The Dust: President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza is Dead

President of The Republic of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza is dead. The death of the 55 year old has been likened by many to the captain going down with his ship.

The government of the Republic of Burundi announced with great sadness the unexpected death of His Excellency Pierre Nkurunziza, President of the Republic of Burundi, at the Karusi Fiftieth Anniversary Hospital following a cardiac arrest on Monday, June 8, 2020.

He was undergoing treatment at the prestigious facility after his health deteriorated significantly beginning the night of 6th of June when he attended a volleyball game in Ngozi.

His condition seemed stable enough at the turn of the hour on 7th June before plummeting for the worst and crowning in a fatal heart attack. At a time when his wife had in the past week been flown to Kenya for advanced medical care.

His death comes in the wake of just concluded elections through which he was he was expected to be succeeded by preferred choice, Retired Major General Evariste Ndayishimiye in one of the most democratic polls witnessed in the past years in the East African country.

Led by Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, world leaders and trade partners have honored the departed president and sent their many condolences to the Republic of Burundi in these horrible times.

The nation's flags fly at half mast as the declared seven days of national mourning for a worthy son of the country, a worthy patriot to national patriotism are observed.

Blood in Parliament as Kanini Gores At Aden Duale

Kieni MP Kanini Kega has been leading signature collection for impeachment of Garissa member of Parliament Aden Duale, signalling the woes facing National Assembly majority leader are far from over after 126 MPs from the Jubilee Party signed for his ouster.

Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya who was recently appointed secretary for Jubilee coalition in parliament after a closed door parliamentary group meeting at State House during which the initial move to replace Aden Duale as Majority leader in the August house fell through was not short of words.

In a briefing to the free press he expressed the disappointment of many members in the August house who had anticipated the reshuffling of roles saying, "MPs were left disappointed when Duale was retained in his position."

The Finance Minister of past years argued that the Garissa Township MP had lost the confidence of majority of the ruling party's lawmakers after failing to unite his political troops for a common cause while incessantly involving himself in acts of independence and selfishness.

The Kipipiri MP said the new wave of signature collection against Mr. Duale was sparked by the fact that he was among those who were highly expected to be ousted and according to Kimunya, Duale's continued stay in the position will definitely work against President Uhuru Kenyatta's plans and development agenda at the National Assembly.

Light Aircraft Crashes After Hitting Electric Pole in Lamu

Pilot Joseph Mativo Sallya escaped unhurt during the successful landing that quickly decelerated into a sounding crash as his light aircraft smashed it's way to a stand still in Lamu on Saturday June 6th. 

The plane, which belongs to an Isiolo-based company, was carrying over 500kgs of miraa when the accident happened leaving its left wing body joint and one of the propellers damaged.

It all went south for the pilot from thereon after quick verification procedures revealed he did not have any documentation from the Kenya Airport Authority to certify his flying nor a permit of any nature allowing him to ferry the cargo.

Lamu County Commissioner, Irungu Macharia said the private aircraft had landed at Kiunga Airstrip around 2.10pm and the pilot ran aground after erroneously judging the landing strip before smashing into a utility pole.

This comes on the backdrop of three plane crashes since 2014 within Lamu, all without fatalities.

Controversy has been a close companion to embattled former president of South Africa. Coming in the wake of probes into his administration and myriad of corruption allegations among many other ills, his young lover has flown the coop.

In great confidence she was required to keep it to herself and as we have come to learn, very few things can be kept that close. After a year in her own the damsel just had to cry out to the world.

Nonkanyiso Conco 25, called it quits and word has it the happy pair went their separate ways back in 2019 and in a twist of taste the lass is posing to be absorbed into a polygamous marriage, something that looks much like attention seeking behavior to have Jacob doing her bidding once more.

Her father confirms that Nonkanyiso in fact fled from her matrimonial home in the hills of posh Durban with her son and went to live with her mother.

The young lady and her father stopped talking when it was discovered Conco was dating Zuma, an elderly man who didn't even complete the cultural formalities of marriage.

Shame As Boni Khalwale Stumbles for Luhya Unity.

Running battles ensued when police acting on a tip off descended upon an illegal meeting organised by former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.

The now disgraced former member of the upper house continues to walk in the valley of misery after a not so thrilling encounter barely months after a similar fiasco with the police service for the same contravention of law.

The senator had told the locals he was working on a plan that would see embattled FORD Kenya party leader Moses Wetang'ula and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi work together with William Ruto ahead of 2022 elections.

But before he could delve into his usual detail to point delivery there was commotion.

Forced to take refuge in a nearby maize field as his audience suffered the onslaught of crowd dispersal police.

It seems the senator is slowly becoming a guerilla ater rubbishing attempts and schemes at luhya unity made by other leaders excluding him as recently as the Kajiado Pact.

A celebrated bullfighter in his better days, the political cold is finally getting to Boni with his ever increasing publicity stunts, most of which come in rebellious and brutish undertones.
