Full Blown Violence Erupts In Kisumu As David Maraga Disappoints Raila Odinga

The decision of the David Maraga led Supreme Court to uphold the victory of Uhuru Kenyatta in the October repeat elections has not gone well with staunch supporters of Raila Odinga in Kisumu, Kibera, Mathare and Migori as they took to the streets to show their displeasure.
Business has been disrupted in Kisumu with all the major roads in and out of the city being cordoned by rioting youth.

A car was set ablaze in Kondele Estate in Kisumu as many business owners closed shop to avoid massive looting that accompany such demonstrations.

Some public service vehicles operators said they were being stopped and checked for unknown reasons by agitated youth.

Business was mildly usual in Migori even as the residents said they did not agree with the ruling. Kakamega was also generally peaceful even though the business owners did not open their shops.
