Kenyans Accuse Julie Gichuru Of Hypocrisy And Reminds Her Of All Her Past Sins
Julie Gichuru is no longer the influential television host of a news show comparable to a Hollywood blockbuster and therefore anything she says can be challenged in the court of public opinion.
That is exactly what happened when Julie saw the speck in the newspapers' eyes while Kenyans felt she had a beam in her own.
Just recently when a teacher, Peter Tabichi, won the Global Teacher Prize, Julie Gichuru took issue with the fact that all the newspapers in the country chose to run political headlines in their front pages and chose to ignore the achievements of Peter Tabichi.
While Kenyans agreed to a larger extent with her sentiments that the newspapers had misplaced priorities, many felt that she was in no position whatsoever to question the newspapers owing to her dirty past.Dear Kenyan newspapers,— Julie Gichuru (@JulieGichuru) March 25, 2019
Why on earth is @PeterTabichi @TeacherPrize win not a headline?
The rest of the world has his story front and centre but you don't see the merit?
That's why I don't buy newspapers anymore. #Priorities #HongeraTabichi #AfricaForTheWin #GESF #GTP pic.twitter.com/9GlG5PqYts
When you were also a news presenter you used to interview despots instead of outstanding Kenyans..— TrueKenyan (@ag_githu) March 25, 2019
Julie, Akothee went and did great things in Turkana and this is your best? Go back whence you've been. We were almost forgetting your kind— Mutabaruka (@kapitimani) March 25, 2019
You are part of the problems in this country, during your time in mainstream media you did what you are complaining about. During the election campaigns you did the same PR for politicians. You can't pretend to be different, just sit down.— rashid swaleh (@RSwaleh) March 25, 2019
Why would you buy our papers when you are in Dubai? We're more messed up since you introduced gambling to our many social ills— Long Stroke (@putitinside18) March 25, 2019
The same reason why you blamed others for Jubilee's killings and dustruction of our country— Oyugi Oyugi (@gordon_oyugi) March 25, 2019
