I would like to clarify some issues that have been in social media concerning my family and part of the Mijungu Kisia family (specifically Ken Mijungu of NTV and his Mom) that have raised some concerns directed to me about the relationship between our two families. I am putting this in this forum since both families hail from Uriri. Here in the photo is the child with her mother, the child with Ken and the child with Ken’s wife Lorraine in Kenya Airways red top.

IT IS TRUE THAT:
1. Both Ken and my daughter had a child together four years ago.
2. Late last year 2018 Ken came and took the baby without a custody order from the Children Court and without the mother’s consent.
3. Ken has continually denied my daughter any contact with the child despite attempts by her to see her child.
4. At the begging of this year 2019, he enrolled the child at Jabali Christian School Nairobi with clear orders to the school that the child’s mother shouldn’t have any access to her.
5. Yesterday Ken and his wife jointly beat the child’s mother when she went to Jabali to see her child.
6. The child’s mother had moved to Children’s court to sue for custody and the case is yet to be determined.
7. Despite my family’s attempt to resolve the problem with Ken and his family, they have continued to demonstrate clear unwillingness to engage with us on the same to the extent that Ken himself told us to tell our daughter not to bother him since this can lead to her DEATH.
8. I want to assure friends, relatives and family that we are closely monitoring the situation and there is no cause for alarm.

The bad publicity for Ken Mijungu means more stakeholders will join the case.

Senior Reporter and Anchor at NTV Ken Mijungu is facing serious allegations of stealing a woman's child and treating her inhumanely whenever she tries to see her baby.
The reporter who is married to Laureen Lakilaw has been receiving fire from all directions after a section of Facebook users started demanding that he stops his violence towards the mother of his baby.
The lady who goes by the name Lina Lynn on Facebook claims that Ken Mijungu asked her to abandon her parent rights of the child or keep her and take care of the child alone. She turned down the offer and took the child to her mother as she worked on being stable.
Ken Mijungu, according to the lady, accused her of abandoning the baby at her mother's and went to the school the child goes to to take it forcefully. She accused Ken Mijungu and his wife of beating her up in the process.

I took my child to my mother's place to get stable Kwanza and pick her up. He says I abandoned the child which I didn't.

Shock As JKUAT Student Steals Sh 41 Million From I&M Bank

A student from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) is at the centre of a court tussle after he was connected to the loss of 41 million shillings.
The Assets Recovery Agency is asking the court to freeze the accounts of Timothy Kang'arua who they say transferred the money from I&M Bank.

The suspect wired the money using valid login credentials in the Safaricom web portal. It is said that he had insider help and even registered more than 300 Safaricom lines.

He used identity cards of unsuspecting Kenyans.

At first, the money transfers seemed like a list of beneficiaries but he later opened Equity Bank accounts under their names.

This places Equity Bank under scrutiny for the ease at which money laundering and criminal financial fraud happen there.

The accomplices in I&M helped him transfer money from their paybill to the mobile accounts of these unknown people. The money then found its way to the fake bank accounts and then to Mr Kang'arua's accounts.


In the affidavit:

There are no court orders currently preserving the funds and there is imminent danger the student will dispose of, transfer, withdraw and dissipate the said assets unless this court issues preservation orders as prayed in this application.

In a move that many saw coming, Rashid Echesa was shown the wide door and his place has been taken by Ambassador Amina Mohammed who has been moved from the troubled Education docket after a series of shameful decisions that left government with egg in face.

Rashid Echesa's appointment in cabinet was a huge surprise that no one ever foresaw. Kenyans Brutally Attack Sheila Mwanyigha For Promoting Beyond Zero Campaign Amid Corruption Scandals

Veteran radio presenter Sheila Mwanyigha today came under heavy fire for promoting a charity marathon meant to tackle maternal deaths while the country loses money, in mega corruption scandals, that could be used to improve healthcare for all.
Beyond Zero Campaign is headed by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and there is a general feeling among a section of Kenyans that she could do more to help the limping healthcare sector by pressuring the president to reign in on those looting the government dry.
A user by the name Ohta Ryota captured this statement in a way that resonated with more than 500 people who read his tweets.

The biggest injustice anyone can do to Kenya right now is participating or contributing to the Beyond zero marathon to raise 100 million for maternal health while the Presidency is spending 2 Billion annually on hospitality and travel.

Sheila Mwanyigha took to Twitter to remind Kenyans of the registration deadline of 3rd March for the marathon that will take place on 10th March. She urged her followers to "Run for each Other."

Kenya: A Country So Corrupt That A President Asking For a Bribe is Believable

If Kenya is at a point where a 'fake president' will call a top businessman, ask for money, and get paid, then it's worse than we thought. If Nairobi businessmen associate the highest position on the land to be one with hands you can grease, we are losing it.

Nowhere To Hide. Taxman Freezes Billionaire Humphrey Kariuki's 11 Bank Accounts

The Kenya Revenue Authority has gone ahead to freeze eleven bank accounts that are directly associated with businessman Humphrey Kariuki over allegations of tax evasion amounting to a staggering Sh3 Billion.
The accounts linked to three companies associated with Humphrey Kariuki are dispersed across seven banks including three top banks in the country: Equity Bank, National Bank of Kenya and Kenya Commercial Bank.
The Kenya Revenue Authority took the step of freezing these accounts after obtaining court orders authorizing it to do so. The taxman believes that Vow Beverages Limited, Wines of the World Ltd and African Spirits Ltd owes the republic Sh3 billion.
Documents produced in court by Kenya Revenue Authority show that the companies were supplying goods using counterfeit customs stamps. The Kenya Revenue Authority also claims that the companies prevented it from collecting huge amounts of tax.
Justice Onyiego who had earlier certified the case as urgent authorized the taxman to prohibit the transfer, withdrawal or disposal or dealing with money in the said accounts, pending hearing and determination of the case.
KRA believes that the companies may seek to frustrate efforts to recover the funds that were obtained through tax evasions.

Inside Job? How "Uhuru Kenyatta" Conned Merali Firm Out Of Sh80 Million

The events leading up to the conning of magnate Naushad Merali, head of the Sameer Group, out of Sh80 million can only be rivaled by a script from a Hollywood blockbuster. 

And he is not alone, many more have lost millions in bids to kill cases or win tenders but suffer in silence because of the nature of their losses.

Stories have been told of prisoners in Kamiti who mimic the voices of parents, teachers, doctors, and others to swindle unsuspecting victims of cash but a group of Kenyans, who roam the streets as free men, have taken the game a notch higher by using the voice of the most powerful man in the land to earn their daily bread, President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Joseph Waswa, Duncan Muchai, Isaac Wajekeche, William Simiyu, David Luganya, Gilbert Kirunja and Anthony Wafula were arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations but have not been charged yet as investigations are still ongoing.

Sources close to the DCI tell us that they will be charged with forgery, conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by false pretense. The seven are also said to have links with powerful officials in State House and Harambee House.

The crime ring is more than just mimicking of the president's voice. They lure rich businessmen with promises of huge tenders in government and immunity from persecution arising from past and present corruption cases.

Their most common method of convincing their victims that they are legitimate is forging of letterheads and invitation to government offices to sign tender documents. All done in collusion with government officials and high ranking police officers.

Gilbert Kirunja who was accused by the police of being the man behind the fake Uhuru Kenyatta voice is a 33 year old IT graduate. He lives large, owning a house in the affluent Karen Estate that is home to Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula, among other powerful politicians. He is unemployed.

Investigators in the case were shocked when they went to Gilbert Kirunja's 10 bedroom mansion. His home is a fortified palace, with a gate so ostentatious you would think he is a movie star or a charting musician.

So skilled is Gilbert Kirunja that the gang of seven depends on him to plan and execute their missions. He has perfected the voice of Uhuru Kenyatta that you would forgive Naushad Merali for believing that the man on the other side of the telephone conversation.

It is said that when Gilbert Kirunja called Merali, he did not even need to identify himself. The two men exchanged pleasantries and the "president" did not waste time in going straight to business. After all, a president has too much on his plate to spend too much time on pleasantries.

Gilbert informed Merali that there was a tender in government that he was willing to give him. The excited Merali immediately expressed his interest. At this point Gilbert informed him that a Sh10 Million shilling fee would be needed to sort logistical issues.

30 minutes later, men from "State House" arrived at Merali's office on Mombasa Road sharply dressed, in a convoy complete with police escort. They took the money and left, without firing a single shot or holding someone by the neck. The police say that rogue officers from Kilimani Police Station were involved in the operation.

It would take two more trips to Merali's office to get a total of Sh80 Million from the man. There was no suspicion whatsoever.

Merali who was abroad at the time of receiving the call authorized his finance officer to facilitate the transfer of the money. It is said that the money was deposited into an Equity Bank account.

The attention of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has been drawn to a misleading story published online by Kenyans.co.ke titled “ KRA Abolishes Keying in of PAYE Tax Returns”.

The author grossly takes out of context the communication by KRA issued last week with regards to the enhanced function on iTax which allows taxpayers with employment income as the only source of income to file their tax returns using the auto populated function.

With reference to the statement released by KRA last week “ iTax has been enhanced to have an auto-populated return of employment income. This has made it much easier, smoother and faster for employees whose source of income is only employment to file then returns. The employees are only required to input data on pension and annual relief. On receipt of the P9 certificates, the employees should simply proceed and file their returns accordingly.”

This does not in any way imply that filing of tax returns has been abolished . KRA therefore advises all taxpayers to disregard this miscommunication and in case of any assistance or clarification, to reach out to KRA through the available channels of communication.We apologize for any inconvenience resulting from the misleading communication.

Kenya Police Quoted The Bible And Kenyans Can't Keep Calm

Perhaps due to fear or history, many Kenyans assume Kenya Police are not so religious. They recently quoted a bible verse on their Twitter time line and the replies are crazy.

Full List Of Persons And Entities Wanted By DCI For The Kimwarer Dam Scam

A project that was set to start in December 2017 in Elgeyo Marakwet County has not moved an inch. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has now ordered all those persons and companies involved to show up at the DCI Headquarters. The Ksh 63 billion project is stalled and reports now show that many big fish might fall.
