KCPE Set For 30 October As KCSE Starts On November 2nd
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations are set to begin on 30th October 2018 and run to 1st November 2018. On the other hand, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams will start on November 2nd and extend to 28th November, 2018.
The Kenya Ministry of Education confirmed that KCPE will be done in 27,161 centres countrywide while KCSE will go on in 10,077 registered centres in the nation.
The exams have witnessed a drastic reduction in the number of cheating cases especially due to the influence of the former cabinet secretary of Education, Fred Matiang'i.
Mr. Matiang'i, who is now the cabinet secretary of Interior, introduced watertight measures that even made it rare for candidates to get top grades that was a common thing in the previous years.
The current cabinet secretary, Amb Amina Mohammed, will be tasked with the job of ensuring that the exams are run to the same standard that her predecessor introduced.
