Pastor Kanyari Is Back And Mbegu 310 Is Now 500

Super controversial Doctor Prophet Victor Kanyari is back on the airwaves. Pastor Kanyari, who went into the limelight after tricking gullible Kenyans went under for a while. His famous line was 'panda mbegu ya 310' to get blessed and healed by God of all illnesses. The pastor is back and has a show on radio where he is heard asking listeners to send 500 shillings for a blessing.

Kenya is notorious for men and women of the cloth  who take advantage of their worshippers for money and power.

Thousands still flock to Pastor Kanyari's church, known as Salvation Healing Ministry.
His mother, prophetess Lucy Nduta is also a minister of the 'gospel'.

Lamba Lolo Squad, Ethic, Drop New Track 'Instagram'

To cap off a blistering 2018, Ethic Entertainment released a new song, 'Instagram', this past week. The quartet of Rekles, Swat, Zilla and Seska are at it again with a song that describes the hunting games of Instagram. As usual, Rekles does the chorus to give the group the rhythm that propelled them to stardom. Mtoto wa Eunice Swat goes on to prove why we fell in love with his bars in the first place.

The video incorporates an 80s seting with the normal inclusion of girls dancing in the background so that it does not lose their local appeal.

A wedding in Nakuru turned chaotic when a six month pregnant woman stormed the ceremony claiming she was the rightful wife. She claims that the man impregnated her and abandoned her to marry another woman. In a move that anticipated the disruption, the groom hired police to bar anyone from entering the venue. However, the motivated and angry woman scaled the gate and got into the church. She was accompanied by her mother and relatives.

The unwelcomed guests came into the ACK  Jehovah Shammah Church in Nakuru. The groom, Dennis Kinyanjui Njenga was marrying Agnes Njeri Wangari.
The crowd claimed that the pastor was bribed to perform the ceremony.

'Ati anafanya harusi? Fanyeni. The woman, also named Agnes, said. The disgruntled woman said ,'Na apende asipende honeymoon tunaenda wote! Hio nyumba tunakaa wote.

Seems Dennis has a thing for women called Agnes.
Finally, Agnes Wanjiru (the disgruntled one) said that she is not interested in marriage. She just wants Dennis to take care of his child.

The future of deputy president in Jubilee Party continues to be bleak at the party continues to make it known that they will not stick to the plans that were made before the general elections of 2013.
Raphael Tuju, Cabinet Secretary without portfolio and Secretary General of Jubilee party, has declared that William Ruto should not expect to inherit the presidency of Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
He said that the party has it's own constitution that provides the guidelines on how the presidential candidate will be chosen.
He further went ahead to insist that the party recognize the president as the party leader and the deputy president as the deputy party leader and no any other arrangement was in place.
Raphael Tuju says there is no memorandum of understanding that compels the Jubilee Party to give William Ruto the presidential ticket in 2022. He further said that if there is any MoU between the president and his deputy, it is their own arrangement that the party has nothing to do with.
Raphael Tuju is a very close ally of the president and anything he says run deep into the core of the president's plans.
Such utterances by Tuju echo the beliefs held by David Murathe who has not shied away from saying that William Ruto should retire with president Uhuru Kenyatta.
In the 2017 elections, Uhuru Kenyatta was in several occasions quoted telling his opponents to wait for him to finish his two terms, then wait further for William Ruto to finish his ten years before they could think of leading this nation.
Those sentiments have changed over time, even being quoted saying William Ruto was roaming around the country and that his choice for 2022 will surprise everyone.
William Ruto has made clear his intentions to succeed his boss and has been making plans to ensure that the succession happens with or without his party support. He has made inroads into places initially perceived to be the strongholds of both Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga and has made allies from all corners of the country.
The deputy president who recently earned a PhD from the University of Nairobi has point-men in the former Central Province and even in the former Nyanza Province.
It will be interesting to see how the events unfold in the ruling party as the rift continues to be apparent. Neither William Ruto nor his allies have made a response to the bombshell announcement by Raphael Tuju.

Comparing Japan To Kenya Is Illiteracy, Says Kenyan Economist

Kwame Owino is the chief executive Officer of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA-Kenya), a public policy think tank based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Right after the fiery exchange that took place during the Presidential interview on Friday, a video surfaced online of an economist explaining why it does not make sense to compare Kenya's and Japan's debt. During a session of Press Pass on NTV earlier this year, the panel dissected the public debt argument. Mr Kwame said the argument shows illiteracy in economics.

Many within the government argue that Japan has a higher debt to GDP ratio than Kenya. Furthermore, they say that debt is not bad so long as it is used well. However, due to the graft and corruption levels in Kenya, incurring more debt is not a good move.

'Anybody who makes that argument either does not know what they are saying, or they are lying. Japan is not Kenya.'
'So throwing that argument at us means you are either illiterate in Economics (I say that with due respect) or you are trying to throw us a red herring (lying).

He further adds that Japan borrow and repay in their own currency while Kenya repays loans in US dollars. Moreover, Japan's loans are repayable in 101 year terms while Kenyan loans are repayable in about 30 years or so. Japan also repays its loans at 3% while Kenya repays at twice the rate.

Mr. Kwame was speaking during an interview at Press Pass in February.

The Kamba ethnic group in Kenya are known for their beauty and unmistakably intense beats in their music. Comedians claim that their music start at a climax due to the intense rhythm that they start with. As per history, the Akamba were renowned long distance traders in Kenya, traversing from Ukambani to the coast of the country. Sources say that 250 Kamba spearmen accompanied a Uruguayan general and settled in present day South American country of Paraguay. The year was in the 1820s.

Also, with the arrival of Artigas' also arrived, curiously, people of Kamba ethnicity, a Kenyan ethnic group, from Uruguay, who settled in Paraguay in the 1820s.[5] They arrived in a regiment of 250 spearmen, men and women, who accompanied General Jose Gervasio Artigas, the revolutionary leader of the now Uruguay, in his exile in Paraguay.[1] The Kamba Cua were dispossessed of their land by General Higinio Morinigo in the 1940s. Of his 100 hectares they stayed with 3 hectares.[6]

The group had two subdivisions known as Kamba Cua and Kamba Kokue.

Journalist Mark Masai was asking questions about Kenya's public debt when President Uhuru Kenyatta decided to take him head on. The President tried to pin him on the lack of expression of numbers like an economist. That's is when Mr Masai bit back,saying he was not in Japan.

President Uhuru Kenyatta will tonight, at 7.30pm, give a live televised joint interview from Statehouse Mombasa. All major media outlets will be present including  KBC Channel 1, K24 Tv, Citizen Tv Kenya, NTV Kenya and KTN Kenya. Sources say that the interview will be to address matters affecting the country, especially the war on corruption.

Records Show Lilian Muli's Ex Was In Two Marriages At The Same Time In America

The Star reports that Jared Ombongi Nevaton was in two marriages at the same time while in the United States. Lilian Muli's ex was even reported to a court of law for the offence of Bigamy, where he married another woman while married already. He hit the Kenyan headlines a few days ago when Lilian Muli complained of his lies and called him 'community husband'.

According to the report, the court did not believe his story.

One of his American wives accused him of bigamy and it made matters worse when he was caught pants down.

The immigration judge in the ruling said, "Ombongi's explanation for his bigamy puts his credibility as a witness in doubt."

According to the article, Jared married Heather Mae Rice in 1993. A year later, while still married to Ms Rice, he married Layle Marie Kobow.

Ms. Kobow filed a visa petition on behalf of Ombongi but reported him to authorities when she found out that Ombongi was still married to Rice.

In her letter to INS, Kobow alleged that "she did not have marital relations with Ombongi, that she did not know where he was, and that the marriage had been arranged by a friend with the understanding that Ombongi would help her financially."

Ombongi and Kobow divorced in 1997, then he divorced Rice in 2001. Interestingly, Ombongi married a certain Morris on November 2, 2001.

Mr Ombongi has since come out to deny the claims made my Lilian Muli. He says that Lilian was not supportive of their marriage. He also termed himself as a principled member of the church and cannot commit adultery.

Jubilee Party Vice Chairman, David Murathe, alluded that DP William Ruto should retire if he does not want to support a referendum. Referendum calls have intensified over the last few months with many seeing this as the effect of the handshake.

Many analysts predict that DP Ruto will not have a smooth sail as he attempts to ascend to presidency in 2022.
Mr. Murathe said that the deputy president should retire with Uhuru Kenyatta after their service to the nation.
He added that the Kikuyu community does not have an MOU with anyone come 2022.

The Jubilee strongman, attended a public function in Vihiga for the first time and said that the party had no presidential candidate.
Because of an equal 50-50 share in government between the two, he said that there was no debt between Mr Uhuru and Mr Ruto.

Savage! David Ndii Rubbishes DP Ruto's PhD On Twitter, Calls Him Conman

Economist and public intellectual David Ndii had harsh words for Deputy President William Ruto. On a day that saw DP Ruto receive a PhD from the University of Nairobi, Mr Ndii questioned the validity of the degree. He tweeted and mocked the degree and said 'Congratulations conman.'

David Ndii is a known harsh critic of the Jubilee government and is known for the famous phrase: Kenya is a cruel marriage it's a time we talk divorce.'
This was at the height of the disputed double legged elections of 2017 that finally saw President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto handed victory.

Today's tweet was in response to a tweet by Nairobi News congratulating the deputy president for his graduation.

Kenyans React To Government Ban Of Demolitions In The Country

After a series of high profile demolitions in Nairobi, Kenya, the government has suspended all demolitions. For reasons ranging from grabbed land to construction in riparian land, the County of Nairobi has busied its bulldozers over the past few months.

On Thursday, the government released a notice that banned all demolitions to allow time for state agencies to consult.

Many speculate that this is due to the influence of the Deputy President after a hotel associated with him was at risk of demolition.

We got to witness a Twitterverse war between self proclaimed Lord Abraham Mutai and the Mighty Prophet of the Lord, Dr Owuor. An aftershock of a post by Mutai on his blog, he took the war to Twitter, where a hot exchange ensued between him and the prophet's followers.

Abraham Mutai claims that Dr Owuor is building a Ksh 230 million mansion in Runda, Nairobi. This, he says, is financed by the offerings that his followers give.
Kenyan Twitter went wild with a #SomeoneTellAbrahamMutai hashtag that trended for the better part of the day.
