Plot Thickens As Jubilee's David Murathe Tells DP Ruto To Retire By 2022
Jubilee Party Vice Chairman, David Murathe, alluded that DP William Ruto should retire if he does not want to support a referendum. Referendum calls have intensified over the last few months with many seeing this as the effect of the handshake.
Many analysts predict that DP Ruto will not have a smooth sail as he attempts to ascend to presidency in 2022.
Mr. Murathe said that the deputy president should retire with Uhuru Kenyatta after their service to the nation.
He added that the Kikuyu community does not have an MOU with anyone come 2022.
The Jubilee strongman, attended a public function in Vihiga for the first time and said that the party had no presidential candidate.
Because of an equal 50-50 share in government between the two, he said that there was no debt between Mr Uhuru and Mr Ruto.
Here is how Twitter responded;
David Murathe is a political bully but it's true he's saying what is vibrating in bars and under the beds across KikuyuLand, in State House and by the President's henchmen. Deni Ni yeye, kuku na PHD yake— Mukami (@Mukami_Mungai) December 27, 2018
David Murathe is correct on one thing though. President @UKenyatta shared the government almost equally with his DP. It was in fact way beyond 50-50 if the whole point was to tie at ‘ethnic mix’ and ‘patronage’, unlike Raila’s “National Accord” sharing, which was merely on paper.— #RandomThoughts (@Disembe) December 27, 2018
"We dont have an agreement with you to support you in 2022. Prepare to go home"-David Murathe, right hand man of Uhuru Kenyatta and Vice chair of Jubilee party. Things just got thick. Plot thickens. pic.twitter.com/wexCWHh1Kr— Lord Abraham Mutai (@ItsMutai) December 26, 2018
