Turkana County Minister Asks Journalist To Go Cover Her Starving Relatives In Ukambani
According to an Al Jazeera journalist, a rude county minister in Turkana asked her to go cover an alleged famine in Ukambani. This was after the journalist shed the spotlight on the hunger situation in Turkana.

In a tweet, Catherine Wambua Soi, shared her ordeal:

I've spent last 4 days Turkana assessing the drought situation for @AJEnglish. On flight here I met a local gvt minister who went off at me for saying that people here are starving. She asked (not too politely) to go cover my own starving people in Ukambani.

The county officials are shy of media coverage as it shows that they have "failed in their job".

The government reported that it was tackling the matter while RedCross and other "humanitarian" individuals pledged their donations to the cause.

Kenyans asked her to name and shame the culprit but by the time we went to press, no name had been revealed.
