Shots Fired: DP William Ruto's Home Under Gunmen Attack

William Ruto Home Sugoi Attacked

An unknown number of gunmen have attacked the home of deputy president William Ruto in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu. Daily Updates can report that the deputy president is safe and on the Jubilee campaign trail. He left the home three hours before the attacked occurred. He has not mentioned the attack in his speeches in the campaigns.
It is said that a number of assailants approached the gate manned by a police officer and when stopped, they said they were selling some merchandise. They then grabbed the gun the General Service Unit officer's gun and hit him with it therefore immobilizing him.
They then stormed the home and gunshots were heard from the home for the better part of 2pm and 3pm. Members of the elite police unit, Recce Squad, have since been deployed to the home which is now surrounded.
The deputy president is expected to address a rally in Nairagie Enkare in Narok County. So far, only the GSU officer is the only known injured case from the incident. International media outlets have picked up on the story that is now developing.
