In a report by a global wealth tracker, Kenya is ranked fourth in the top ten fastest growing Ultra High Net Worth countries. This means that between 2012 and 2018, Kenya saw an increase in its number of billionaires by 11%. Only Bangladesh, China and Vietnam were better. Are we getting wealthier as a country? Or is it an after effect of deals made by those close to the elite circles of the country?

Wealth-X is a global ultra high net worth intelligence and data company, founded in 2010. Headquartered in New York and London, the company has five offices on three continents and is owned by Insight Venture Partners according to Wikipedia.

An ultra high net worth(UHNW) individual is defined as someone with at least a net worth of US$30 million in constant current year dollars.
