Jubilee Party Set For Major Shake Up As Lobbying Intensifies Ahead Of 2022
A major storm seems to be brewing in the Jubilee Party camp as politicians take position and formation in the play up for 2022. With DP William Ruto setting his eyes to ascend to presidency in the next elections, comments by a section of the ruling party's elite are sending subliminal messages of their real views.
First, deputy party leader, David Murathe, suggested that the deputy president should retire together with President Uhuru Kenyatta. This was, of course, not his views alone as Daily Updates has reasons to believe that more party members hold this opinion.

Days later, Raphael Tuju said that DP Ruto does not have an automatic ticket to represent Jubilee in 2022. He added that the party has processes that it shall follow to nominate their preferred candidate.
Kirinyaga Governor, Anne Waiguru, a perceived ally of the deputy president, took her thoughts online to express why she thought party elections were very necessary.

The jubilee party must support the Building Bridges Initiative to ensure the continued unity of the Nation.— Anne Waiguru (@AnneWaiguru) December 29, 2018
The jubilee party therefore needs a leadership that has a legitimate mandate and the people’s support.— Anne Waiguru (@AnneWaiguru) December 29, 2018
It is therefore imperative, and in order, that the Jubilee Party hold party elections soonest possible, to forestall internal divisions, and ensure that statements are made by Elected Party Officials, and that they infact represent the views of the Jubilee Party as a whole.— Anne Waiguru (@AnneWaiguru) December 29, 2018
