Moha Jichopevu Elicits Mixed Reactions After Photo With Ruto

Nyali member of parliament, Mohammed Ali, has ruffled feathers online after uploading a picture he took with deputy president William Ruto.

When he was a journalist, Mohammed Ali alias Moha Jicho Pevu, was one of the harshest critics of the government. He is remembered putting to task the then CID Director Ndegwa Muhoro over the death of Jacob Juma and the people he had mentioned and claimed wanted to kill him.

Mohammed Ali joined forces with William Ruto after experiencing nepotism and favoritism in the Orange Democratic Movement in Mombasa County when he attempted to clinch the party's ticket for the Nyali's seat.

He would go ahead to run as an independent candidate after claiming that a famous governor in the region influenced the party to give the ticket to his own brother. He won.

Moha's coziness with a man who is number two in the ranks of the executive is seen by many as a breach of trust that his audience had in him during his stint as a journalist. Moha has since explained that people cannot choose for him the people he becomes friends with.
Sometimes you look at what Moha has become in this politics game. Thinking he would be any different then sometimes you convince yourself that he’s blending in so that he can expose them better Jicho Pevu style but nah.

Don’t blame Moha, for you to survive in Kenyan Politics you have to play it this way. The Wananchi don’t want a viable alternative. Orengo, Anyang Nyongo, tuju, kivutha kibwana all tries to be an alternative but the Wananchi chased them out for daring.
