My Son Can't Speak German Anymore, Ngiritas Beg Uhuru To Have Mercy On Them
Embattled businesswoman Phyllis Njeri Ngirita today broke down in court saying her son has forgotten how to speak German and can now only use English, Kiswahili and Kikuyu and is turning into a chokora.
In a bitter outburst, the lady whose entire family is facing charges in court for the loss of more than Ksh 9 Billion claimed that her family was being targeted unfairly by the state.
While Phyllis Njeri Ngirita did not deny supplying 'air' to the National Youth Service, she lamented on why those who were listed alongside her family in the scandal and other scandals like the Standard Gauge Railway were not being mentioned.
She painfully explained to journalists at Kilimani Law Courts that her son was being forced to use Matatus because all their vehicles had been impounded and held at Naivasha Police Station. In her own words, "the state is using their vehicles to decorate Naivasha police station."
Phyllis Njeri Ngirita paints the picture of a woman subdued by the slow grinding wheels of justice. She has witnessed the worst of the state, and for a family used to the luxuries offered by money, she could not fathom the fact that the courts have restricted her from flying.
The emotional wreck that was Phyllis Njeri Ngirita declared that she would rather die than use matatus.
