Waiguru Fights Back with a Contingent of Lawyers

The senate has received a consignment of evidence and documentation to assist in their fair evaluation and determination of the Anne Mumbi Waiguru impeachment that has been left in the hands of a select eleven member senatorial panel to substantiate.

Making up the eleven are nominated senators; Beatrice Kwamboka, Beth Mugo, Judith Pareno, Abshiro Halakhe and elected senators; Moses Kajwang, Anwar Loitiptip, Michael Mbito, Paul Githiomi, Philip Mpayeeyi, Cleophas Malala and Stewart Madzayo.

Waiguru filed her response with the senate, sending truck loads of paper work to prove her case and capped it with an ever positive tweet

"In compliance with the Senate's request I have today filed my responses to the impeachment motion filed for my removal from office by the Kirinyaga County Assembly. May truth, justice and the rule of law prevail,'"

MCA Kinyua Wangui who sponsored the impeachment motion accused the first-term governor of misappropriating county funds, gross violation of the Constitution and absconding from duty in that she has never delivered the annual State of the County address.

Anne Waiguru was in charge of the devolution ministry and was implicated in the NYS scandals before she resigned and won the gubernatorial seat in Kirinyaga being one of the first three female governors.
