Why Mediamax Fired Betty Kyallo and Jalang'o

Scores of employees at multiple Mediamax outlets affiliated to the Kenyatta family woke up jobless on 21st June after they all were fired via SMS in the deep of night.

This is the second time that lay offs have been resorted to at K24 after 160 employees were fired in October 2019 and suggestions are indicating the affected are the same who tried suing the broadcaster over the matter back then.

Celebrated anchor Betty Kyalo beat the system weeks ago, bowing out of the way before the disgrace came knocking.

The stalemate has been over halving of paychecks to stem impacts of the pandemic which is wrecking the economy, but most are certain that is not the truth and attempted to litigate.

Tv couple Nancy Onyancha and Job Mwaura were cut loose by the new developments.

Commenting on the issue over instagram Onyancha said she was ready for the next step and Mwaura is certain he has done his best for the last 7 years and can now take the world over.

Those affected are; Ken Wariahe and Isabella Kituri both swahili anchors and editors. Fred Indimuli english news anchor. Caroline Wambui, acting managing editor. Reporters Shukri Wachu, Apollo Kamau, Gloria Milimu Kimani Githuku and Mercy Milanoi. Joy Kiruki a features editor and features reporter Dennis Matara. Sports anchor Tony Kwalanda.
