Larry Madowo Finally Quits NTV
Celebrated news anchor Larry Madowo has finally left Nation Media Group after months of speculations preceded by weeks of turmoil in Kenya's biggest media company.
Larry Madowo made the announcement on Twitter yesterday saying he was still as humble as he was when he joined the media house.
I leave NTV as I came: humbled and grateful. The job was one of the greatest honors of my life. Thanks to everyone who watched, and to Nation for the privilege of the opportunity. I'm proud of my amazing colleagues and everything we accomplished. Farewell, my friends. Stay woke.
In an apparent silent jab at his bosses who are seemingly pushing the agenda of the government, he concluded his statement by advising his fellow journalists to stay woke.
Larry Madowo, alongside Linus Kaikai and others, are some of the casualties of the famed swearing in of Raila Odinga that the government did not want aired but NTV went ahead to air leading to the switching off of their transmission.
Larry Madowo has worked in several media houses in and out of the country including KTN and CNBC.
Many believe that Larry Madowo is headed to a big international media house like CNN but he has not yet announced his next move.
