In a daring attempt to take back what they say is power from an illegitimate government, the National Super Alliance (NASA) has been on the high road to get here.
Supporters have clashed with security forces resulting in scores of Kenyans dead including children.

General Elections held in Kenya
August 11, 2017
Incumbent President, Uhuru Kenyatta declared president-elect after which chaos erupt in several locations in which the challenger, Raila Odinga is the preferred candidate.
August 18, 2017
The NASA Coalition presents a petition to challenge the presidential election. Cite massive irregularities.
September 1, 2017
The Chief Justice of Kenya, David Maraga declares the result “invalid, null and void” after siding with the opposition. Campaigns begin again. Election set for October 26.
October 26, 2017
Second repeat elections in Kenya with a low turnout compared to the first.
October 30, 2017
IEBC declares Uhuru Kenyatta as duly elected president again. Opposition outfit NASA disputes the results. NASA leader leaves for a 10 day trip to the USA.
November 15, 2017
Two petitions presented to the Supreme Court against the election of Uhuru Kenyatta kick off.
November 17, 2017
Raila Odinga returns to Kenya and is received by thousands of followers. The event turns violent as police engage supporters in running battles.
November 20, 2017
Supreme Court of Kenya upholds the election of Uhuru Kenyatta. Pockets of violence reported in the country.
November 28, 2017
Uhuru Kenyatta is sworn in as the President of Kenya. A parallel swearing-in ceremony by NASA is postponed to Jamhuri Day, December 12, 2017.
December 10, 2017
NASA principals postpone swearing-in ceremony for a future date.
January 4, 2018
NASA Secretariat announced that party leader is to be sworn in alongside Kalonzo Musyoka on January 30 at Uhuru Park.
January 24, 2018
The Nairobi County announces that Uhuru Park is closed for renovations until further notice.
January 29, 2018
Speaking to media, NASA CEO Norman Magaya says that the swearing-in ceremony will proceed. He further insists that Raila Odinga will receive oath as President of the Republic of Kenya and not as the People's President as said earlier.
