6 Months Pregnant Woman Gang Raped, Murdered In Uthiru

Uthiru Murder

A bizarre incident has left resident of Uthiru in Kiambu County reeling in shock as a 21 year old woman was gang raped and murdered in her house.
Yvonne Njeri was discovered by her younger sister Eveline who said she found her sister's body naked on the floor.
The family was at a loss on what events might have led to this shocking incident as she had hosted her sisters' birthday the day before and even had a meal with her mother before going to work.
A clothe found around her neck and tied to a chair is said to have been used to strangle her after being raped. This is according to her uncle Julius Ngugi.

Injuries on her face indicate the attackers might have hit her using a blunt object. The conditions in the house also showed there might have been a commotion. She may have tried to defend herself but was seemingly overpowered.
The mother said the daughter had talked of friction with her boyfriend who was the father of her unborn baby.
While Dagoretti OCPD said they had launched investigations into the incident, no arrests have been made so far.
The mother, Eunice Wamaitha, has demanded justice for her daughter saying that the killers must face the law. She said, in much agony, that her daughter had a bright future and now she had been cut off.
Our sincere condolences to the family. We live in strange times.
