Here Is How Lawyers Reacted To The Supreme Court Ruling
The Supreme Court of Kenya has finally given the full ruling on the presidential elections petition as it had earlier promised. The court, through its president Justice David Maraga, had indicated it had little time to deliver a full judgement earlier.
Kenyans are reacting to the judgement in different ways but one group that we looked at keenly is lawyers whose opinions really count on this issue.
Below is a thread of their reactions on social media.
#SupremeRuling has given Kenya global recognition ... And affirmation that our Constitution is truly Supreme. The Constitution is alive.— Donald B Kipkorir (@DonaldBKipkorir) September 20, 2017
In the majority judgment...not even a single sentence said on the thousands of documents HE Uhuru submitted as evidence...nothing...nothing— Ahmednasir Abdullahi (@ahmednasirlaw) September 20, 2017
SHOCKING...How do you annul an entire Nation' s SOVEREIGN WILL on a few questions raised about PROCESS. !!! @ahmednasirlaw @kipmurkomen https://t.co/0pWy2CVNro— Abdikadir Mohamed (@AbdikadirMohami) September 20, 2017
Brevity is the soul of wit. It's clear that JB OJWANG' was just a crammer in school. He is unable to ANALYSE. Too verbose. #SupremeRuling— Dr. Miguna Miguna (@MigunaMiguna) September 20, 2017
To say the minority must have their say is not to say the minority must talk all day #SupremeRuling— Edwin Sifuna (@edwinsifuna) September 20, 2017
