Flourishing media careers, wayward men, mysterious deaths and drama. Welcome to the world of media personalities haunted by controversy. Former news anchor, Esther Arunga went through a shocking transformation to quit her job at KTN, engage herself in legal battles and finally leave the country, persona bruised and battered. We can only hope that Jacque Maribe does not follow the same rabbit hole because it gets ugly.

Flourishing Media Careers

Esther Arunga was raw talent; articulate and brilliant. She was a darling of the airwaves. Starting off at Capital Fm, she quit after a public spat with a colleague who forced her to leave the station. She then moved to KTN, where she blossomed into the legend everyone loved.

Jacque Maribe is smart and sassy. Her exploits at Citizen TV with a particular niche in politics saw her move up to senior positions that allowed her to brush shoulders with the high and mighty. A great moment in her career was when she was always on the road, trailing Jubilee party politicians as they crossed the country to ask for votes. The cancellation of the first election's result meant that she would have more work, and gain more experience to make her really excellent at her job.

Wayward Men

Esther became engaged to Wilson Malaba, a church elder, but called off their engagement in of the church, but in early 2010. She then moved into a church owned mansion to live with Hellon (a close relative), his wife and other church members. In February the same year, a trio made up of her, Quincy Timberlake and Hellon announced the Placenta party (Platinum Centralizer and Unionist Party) and backed Hellon as a presidential candidate, and Arunga as candidate for Karachuonyo MP.
Police ambushed and arrested several persons linked to the church and charged them for running an unregistered association. The church was registered for 5 years by then. The police reportedly destroyed computers and laptops before impounding vehicles from them. The link between her and the two men, Hellon and Quincy sparked the chain of events that led to her fall from grace.

As covered to precise detail by Daily Updates, Jacque Maribe's involvement with Joe Irungu began the tornado of allegations that now have her detained in police cells. A look at social media posts show that they really were in love and probably were planning their wedding.

Mysterious Deaths, Crime

Apart from the registration of the church by Esther Arunga, no major crime happened when still within the country. She then moved out to reside in Australia. However, in 2014, Esther Arunga's son, Sinclair Timberlake died in mysterious circumstances with reports saying he died while undergoing "exorcism". The husband of the former TV anchor was later charged with the murder of the couple’s three-year-old son. Esther Arunga was held by police during the investigation.

Jacque Maribe broke the news of the death of businesswoman, Monica Kimani. Days later, police discovered the connection of the death to her fiance, Joe Irungu. Later, she was drawn into the case and arrested with new evidence showing that she was linked in one way or another to the murder.
