Archbishop Gilbert Deya Extradited To Kenya To Face Baby Stealing Charges

Controversial televangelist Gilbert Deya of the UK-based Gilbert Deya Ministries has finally been extradited to Kenya to face human trafficking charges.
Gilbert Deya and his wife who is serving time in a Kenyan prison started and led a scheme famously known as miracle babies where they claimed they could pray for barren women to have children.
Gilbert Deya has eluded Kenyan authorities for more than a decade using courts in the United Kingdom. He claimed he would not receive fair judgement in the Kenyan judicial system.

Gilbert Deya's plane touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday morning. He was in handcuffs. Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet said the televangelist had been handed over to the CID.
The charge sheet of Gilbert Deya says he and his wife, Mary Deya stole five children between 1999 and 2004. Mary Deya is serving three years in prison for similar charges.
Deya claims his church has a membership of over 34,000 in the UK alone. His website also thanks Her Majesty the queen of England, former president of Kenya Daniel Arap Moi and King Mswati III of Swaziland for paying them a visit.
