Kivutha Kibwana Cuts Ties With Wiper, Calls Kalonzo Musyoka A Ruthless Dictator

The only Wiper Democratic Movement governor in Ukambani Region is ready to chart his own course without Wiper after declaring that working with the movement has been as hard as it can get.
Professor Kivutha Kibwana, governor of Makueni County, has officially declared that he is cutting ties with the party he used in his second term gubernatorial campaigns. Kivutha Kibwana says he is ready for a by election should he lose his seat.
As currently stipulated in the current Constitution of the land, an elected leader loses his political seat in the event that they leave their party and joins another or becomes independent or joins a party if they were elected on an independent ticket.
The governor has asked his supporters to be ready for anything after asking his party bosses to take their chairmanship or governor's seat if they want to. He relinquished the chairman's position during a public rally.
The governor who quit his Muungano Party to join Wiper only a few days to the elections due to what he termed as public demand has been under pressure to join the presidential race.
Prof Kivutha Kibwana literally took the war to Kalonzo Musyoka's doorstep last year when he declared that he would support the president elect Uhuru Kenyatta. The declaration was made during the funeral of Kalonzo's father.
Kalonao Musyoka has been on the receiving end of junior politicians in the region who want him to do the honorable thing and resign from elective politics gracefully. A dozen MCAs from the region vowed to drag him out of politics forcefully if he refuses to go willingly.
Allies of Kalonzo from the region, however, have dismissed moves made by Kivutha and other governors like Mutua and Ngilu saying that these are gimmicks by the three to get cabinet positions in the next government when they finish their second terms.
