Uhuru Kenyatta Summons Ruto To State House, Warns Him Against 2022 Campaigns

Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto met at a church function on Sunday and put up a show of friendship with William Ruto denying the existence of any leadership crisis in Jubilee as alleged by the media.
But what followed after the church service was a five hour long meeting at Statehouse that had the president showing his discomfort with William Ruto's early campaigns for the 2022 presidency.
The meeting which was held from 11am went deep into the afternoon and Ruto only showed up at his Harambee House Annex offices for a few minutes in the evening.
The Statehouse spokesperson Kanze Dena neither confirmed nor denied the taking place of the meeting between the two leaders.
The friction between the two parties of the government was triggered by utterances by David Murathe, a close ally of Uhuru Kenyatta, who went around saying William Ruto would not be the next president of Kenya.
During the funeral of Raphael Tuju's brother in Rarieda, David Murathe swore to go to the Supreme Court to stop Ruto from running in 2022. It is at this point that it is said Uhuru Kenyatta intervened and asked David Murathe to resign from his interim position in Jubilee party.
The rebellion against the handshake of Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta has been growing in the recent past with Ruto's allies expressing their discomfort with the newly found friendship between Uhuru and Raila.
