How William Ruto Fought For Oparanya's Win In The Council Of Governors
The current events that are unfolding in Central Province have left the camp of the deputy president William Ruto very much unsettled and he is not taking any chances as far as his 2022 presidential bid is concerned.
Even though Uhuru Kenyatta promised to support William Ruto when he retires, the self proclaimed hustler is preparing for any contingencies that may arise.
He has been making inroads into areas perceived to be the strongholds of his arch enemies and convenience friends.
William Ruto has particularly invested heavily in the Western Region. Many of the leaders from that region are reported to make trips to the deputy president's Sugoi Ranch every weekend for handouts. They all claim to go to the ranch to negotiate development deals for their constituents.
There are other senior leaders who do not need the deputy president's war chest but are necessary in his dreams nonetheless. One of such leaders is Wycliffe Oparanya.
