The Watermelon Has Changed His Mind On Uhuru's Third Term. Nobody Is Surprised.

The Waternelon Has Changed His Mind On Uhuru's Third Term. Nobody Is Surprised.

Former vice president and leader of the struggling Wiper Democratic Movement Kalonzo Musyoka has denied the widely circulated reports that he proposed the constitution should be amended to accommodate a possible third term run by president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kalonzo Musyoka claims that media houses misquoted his speech at Koma II where there was an Ukambani Leaders meeting on Friday.
I was talking about the hybrid approach that creates the position of prime minister from the party with majority seats in Parliament in a ruling coalition.
Kalonzo Musyoka also took the opportunity to publicly differ with deputy president William Ruto's sentiments that the country has no funds to conduct a referendum, a census and polls at the same time.
He was speaking during the burial of Francis Mwewa. The late was the husband of former nominated MP Grace Mwewa. He asked leaders to avoid abusive politics.
Kalonzo also said he had forgiven the three governors from his backyard who had chosen not to attend his meeting.
Speaking at the same event, Charity Ngilu asked the Kambas to register as voters if they genuinely support Kalonzo Musyoka's presidential bid. She said that with only 2 million registered as voters, the community lacked the bargaining power to convince other communities to support their presidential candidate.
