Two KQ Planes Kiss at JKIA. Zero Hurt
A bizarre incident at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) hit the headlines because it is very rare. Two Kenya Airways air planes snuggled to each other and hit each other during maintenance.
Speaking to the press,Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Director-General Gilbert Kibe confirmed the incident.
The two love birds were of Embraer models and were undergoing maintenance when the incident happened.
Immediately after it happened, JKIA security officials launched investigations in the incident. It is rare and unexpected for mechanical birds to publicly display affection.
Here are some photos.
As a result, some flights at the JKIA were likely to be cancelled but the big boss confirmed that everything should go back to normal.
The engineers in charge of the two birds might have to explain why they let things go this far.
Air planes involved in such activities is a very expensive affair and at the moment, KQ has been broke and working hard to restore the confidence of passengers.
