Clueless Kenyans Beat Drums of War As Kenya-Somalia Row Escalates
The Republic of Kenya and the Federal Republic of Somalia are joined at the hips and the maritime territorial dispute between the two is just a domestic issue that will be solved sooner or later using diplomatic means.
The Kenyan government through the ministry of foreign affairs may have used strong words to describe the situation and that gave a section of Kenyans the wrong perspective of the actual situation on the ground.
The Principal Secretary of Foreign Affairs PS Macharia was allegedly quoted by the mainstream media saying that the people of Kenya will use any means to protect their territorial integrity. Some Kenyans on Twitter thought this meant war.
And on Sunday afternoon they all came out armed with their keyboards spewing hate that portrayed the wrong impression that this was the view of all Kenyans.
Somalia is governed by people with dual citizenships, the so-called actioning of oil in disputed waters will end up in big cities like London, Nairobi, Newyork etc and poor Somalis with no visas to US, Kenya or UK will forever remain poor.#SomaliaVsKenya
Somalis are running the #SomaliaVsKenya hashtag from Eastleigh and South C. We MUST conduct an audit and deport those criminals without documentation to Mogadishu.— Morientez Kabora (@SMkabora) February 17, 2019
