Court Ruins Hopes Of Muthama's Former Wife Taking His Riches

Machakos County Women Representative Agnes Kavindu Nduya will not be getting a single coin from former Senator Johnston Muthama's expansive estate after a long court battle that drew blood in and out of the corridors of justice.
High Court William Musyoka ruled that Agnes Kavindu Nduya failed to prove to the court that they remarried and lived together with Johnston Muthama after their initial divorce in the year 1983, 36 years ago.
Agnes Kavindu wanted the court to declare that Muthama had acquired some properties in her trust and wanted the court to compel Muthama to reveal some accounting details that regard the companies he owned.
She also wanted the court to prevent him from evicting her from an estate in Mua in Machakos County.
Agnes had earlier told the court during the hearings that she married Johnston Muthama under customary law in 1975 and divorced in 1983. The allegedly remarried in 1993 and cohabited in a house in Runda.
The politician claims that Muthama requested her to quit her job and concentrate on taking care of their children.
Johnston Muthama denied ever remarrying the lady and even accused her of non-disclosure. He claims that they divorced and never got back together again. He claims that he has married two other women ever since and the lady only comes to his house occasionally to see the children they had together.
